Sweet and Sour Meatloaf (sometimes called Dutch Meatloaf) ~ a tangy, juicy meatloaf covered in an easy sweet and sour sauce made with ketchup, mustard, vinegar and brown sugar.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a casserole dish large enough to hold the meatloaf and the sauce (about 4 quarts).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the meatloaf. Form into a fairly tight loaf and place in the center of the casserole dish . Place the uncovered meatloaf in the oven while preparing the sauce.
- In the same bowl used to mix the meatloaf, combine all the sauce ingredients. Whisk to combine. Carefully pour the sauce over the top of the meatloaf in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours (do not cover.)
- Allow the meatloaf to rest 15 minutes before serving. Great served with mashed potatoes!

- In a large bowl, combine the bread crumbs, salt, pepper and eggs; crumble beef over top and mix well. Add onion and half of the tomato sauce. Press into a 9x5-in. loaf pan. , Bake at 350° for 50 minutes. In a saucepan, combine the sugars, vinegar, mustard and remaining tomato sauce; bring to a boil. Pour over meat loaf; bake until no pink remains and a thermometer reads 160°, about 10 minutes longer., Freeze option: Securely wrap and freeze cooled meat loaf in plastic wrap and foil. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Unwrap meat loaf; reheat on a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan in a preheated 350° oven until heated through and a thermometer inserted in center reads 165°.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Beat egg in large bowl. Add all remaining meatloaf ingredients; mix well. Press mixture firmly in ungreased 8x4-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350°F. for 40 minutes.
- Remove meatloaf from oven. Spread about 3 tablespoons sweet-and-sour sauce over loaf. Arrange bell pepper rings and pineapple slices over sauce. Brush with remaining tablespoon sauce.
- Return to oven; bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes or until meatloaf is thoroughly cooked in center and meat thermometer registers 160°F. Cover with foil; let stand 5 minutes before cutting meatloaf into slices.

- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9x5" loaf pan with cooking spray.
- Mix together ground beef, onion, eggs, pepper, oats, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, onion salt and tomato sauce in a large bowl, using your hands. Do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, sugar and mustard. Spread on top of meatloaf and place in oven. Bake for 1 hour and 15-30 minutes, or until meatloaf is cooked through. Let cool for a few minutes and then slice and serve. Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, ground black pepper, eggs, onion flakes and 1/2 of the can of tomato sauce. Mix together well and place into a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
- Push the meatloaf down into the pan forming a well for the sauce around all the edges.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the remaining tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, white sugar and mustard. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
- After meatloaf has cooked for 40 minutes, remove from oven and pour sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Return to oven and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 more minutes. Let sit 5 minutes before removing from pan.

SWEET AND SOUR MEATLOAF
This is a southern meatloaf. It is the only one I will eat. The sauce makes it the best. Its a little sweet and a little sour. I promise you will love it. It is great on a sandwich the next day with a little mayo and cheese. My husband makes me double this recipe and he would eat it every day if I cooked it! We always fight over the leftovers!!

- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- To prepare meatloaf: Add celery and onions (and any other veggies you like) to beef.
- Add egg.
- Add rice, breadcrumbs or cracker crumbs (I've even used potato chips!) for firmness.
- Open can of tomato sauce put in a little for moisture.
- Add some salt and pepper and start mushin.
- I always like garlic in everything so I usually put in a bit.
- Make into a loaf.
- Put in a loaf pan or a dish that will leave some room on sides.
- I like lots of sauce so I put mine in a corning dish with room all the way around.
- For Sauce: Pour tomato sauce in same mixing bowl.
- Add all your remaining ingredients.
- If you like it a little sweeter, add more sugar.
- A little more sour, add more vinegar.
- I usually put in quite a bit more Worcestershire sauce.
- Mix well and pour over meatloaf.
- Cook covered in oven for about 35 minutes, depending on altitude and oven intensity.
- Keep checking it.
- Insert a knife into the middle to check for doneness.
- This recipe is served best with Mashed Taters and corn.
- You mush em all together and it's delicious.

- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place a wire cooling rack inside a roasting pan or 9x13 baking pan (or use a loaf pan).
- In a large bowl add the meatloaf ingredients including ground beef, plain breadcrumbs, large eggs, diced red and green bell peppers, ketchup, and seasoning - 1/4 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix the mixture until just combined then shape your loaf into a 9x5 inch oval and place it onto your cooling rack, or transfer it into a loaf pan.
- Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 50 minutes then remove it from the oven and pour the sweet and sour sauce over the top center of the loaf. Use a pastry brush to cover all sides of your loaf (leaving any extra sauce on the top).
- Return your sauced meatloaf to the oven and finish cooking for an additional 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 155°F (68°C).
- Remove the meatloaf from your oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

- 1. Preheat oven to 375*
- 2. Mix the hamburger, egg, onion, crumbled bacon,crushed Ritz crackers, salt and pepper, salad dressing, 1/4 c. of the brown sugar and milk together in large bowl.
- 3. Arrange meatloaf in pan of choice. *NOTE: I use a large glass baking dish and arrange it in an "O" shape. That way it doesn't take the middle so long to cook.
- 4. Mix ketchup and the remaining 1/4 c. of brown sugar and "glaze" the top of the meatloaf.
- 5. Bake for 45-1 hour. Meatloaf is done when the inside is no longer pink, and has an internal temp of 160*
- 6. *NOTE: I don't usually measure things so the amounts are approximate. If something seems a little off, please feel free to adjust it. If it's too sweet for your liking omit the brown sugar inside the meatloaf
