Found on Pinterest and shared so many times not sure who came up with it. The original recipe calls for Cream of Mushroom Soup, but I love Cream of Onion so I changed. You could use mushroom, onion or even Cream of Celery. Whatever you have on hand.

Ingredients

1 lb ground meat
1 small onion, chopped
1 (10 ounce) can onion soup
1 small brick Velveeta cheese, cut in cubes
1 (28 ounce) package tater tots
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown beef and onion together then drain.
2. Spread beef mixture in bottom of a casserole dish. Layer soup, corn, Velveeta, and tater tots.
3. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour, until tater tots are golden brown.

Alton once posted this on his website and said that he always cranks out a bushel or two of it during the holidays. He also said "Dole this stuff out carefully. It is highly habit forming." I totally agree and for this reason have no earthly idea how many servings it makes! Depends on how much you can eat! LOL Especially good to anyone who likes the salty-sweet combination. Cooking time is cooling time.

3 1/2 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
3 cups Rice Chex
3 cups Corn Chex
16 ounces M&M's plain chocolate candy
2 1/2 cups salted mixed nuts
2 cups small pretzels
2 (11 ounce) packages white chocolate chips (Ghirardelli brand preferred)

Steps:

Dump the cereals, M&Ms, nuts & pretzels in a large bowl.
Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler. Melt very slowly, stirring occasionally, being careful not to burn the chocolate.
Dump melted chocolate over the rest of the ingredients and fold over and over until you have well-coated hunks and chunks.
Spread the whole mess out on parchment paper and set in a cool place until it sets up, then break it into pieces.
Store in zip-top bags or air-tight containers.

After I saw a recipe for White Trash on Pinerest and posted it here I started to think how I could change it up quite by accident. This is what I came up with and plan to try it next time. You can use more hamburger meat, I use 1lb and 1/2 and add a little milk to thin.

Ingredients

1 -1 1/2 lb ground meat
1 small onion, chopped
10 ounces cream of onion soup
1 small pkg velveeta white quaso cheese, cut in cubes
32 ounces tater tots
1 (11 ounce) can shoe peg white corn, drained
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

Brown hamburger meat with onions.
Add soup, thin with a small amount of milk if too thick.
Add corn.
Pour into a 9 x 13 greased casserole dish and top with Velvetta pieces.
Add tator tots to top.
Bake 375 for 35 minutes.

My sister-in-law made this at Christmas-time, and everyone loved it! It's very easy to make, and makes a great snack. It also makes a great Christmas goodie to give out to friends and family. I have no idea how it got it's name....

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs quality white chocolate
2 teaspoons vegetable shortening
3 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
3 cups corn or 3 cups Rice Chex
3 cups small pretzels
2 cups nuts (I use mixed nuts)

Steps:

In a double boiler, melt white chocolate and shortening.
Stir chocolate mixture until blended and smooth.
In the meantime, combine all the cereal and nuts in a very large bowl.
Pour melted white chocolate over the cereal and nuts, gently stirring to coat all pieces.
Scoop mixture out onto large cookie sheets or jelly roll pans to set.
After the white chocolate has hardened, break into pieces and store in a large airtight container or Ziploc-type bags.
Enjoy!

This salty and sweet white trash needs to come with a warning label because it's addictive. We loved the bits of Reese's Pieces throughout. It's a nice surprise pop of peanut butter flavor when you expect it to be just chocolate. A simple recipe to make for gift giving or just when you want a special snack.

6 c Crispix cereal
2 c stick pretzels (broken into small pieces)
3 c Honey Nut Cherrios
1/2 c Reese's peanut butter pieces
2 c honey roasted peanuts
1/2 c plain M&M's
1 1/2 lb white chocolate almond bark for coating

Steps:

1. In a large bowl combine cereal and pretzels.
2. Melt white chocolate according to package directions. (I melt mine in the microwave, 30 seconds and stir; repeat till completely melted).
3. Pour melted chocolate over cereal and mix until well coated.
4. Add the rest of ingredients; mix well.
5. Pour contents onto a pan lined with wax paper.
6. Let dry until hardened. Break apart with your hands and serve.
7. Store leftovers in an airtight container.

1 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 (16 ounce) box Rice Chex
2 (16 ounce) boxes confectioners' sugar
1 (16 ounce) bag chocolate chips (optional)
1 (16 ounce) jar dry roasted peanuts (optional)

Steps:

For "WHITE TRASH," use the first four ingredients only. Or for a fun variation - add the optional chocolate chips and dry roasted peanuts to make "TRAILER TRASH!".
Melt butter, peanut butter (and chocolate chips) together in medium sauce pan OVER LOW HEAT. Place Rice Chex (and dry roasted peanuts) in a large container (plastic salad mixing bowls with lids work great!). Pour melted mixture over Rice Chex (and peanuts) and toss, until evenly coated throughout.
---Kids love this part!---.
Then pour conf. sugar over mixture (1 box at a time), place lid on container, and shake shake shake! Shake well, until all the mixture is coated with sugar. Repeat with second box.
Serve, and enjoy!
