WEINERS ON A STICK

Steps:

• Heat oil to 375 degrees F on a deep fry thermometer.
• In a small saucepan, heat BBQ sauce.
• Keep warm.
• Combine pancake mix, cornmeal, sugar, and water.
• Beat until just smooth.
• Let stand 10 minutes.
• Dip weiners in the batter so they are coated all over.
• Fry coated weiners, a few at a time,until crisp and golden brown all over.
• Lift out carefully with a slotted spoon and drain well on paper towels.
• Insert a skewer in one end of each weiner.
• Serve immediately with warmed BBQ sauce for dipping.

CORN DOGS ON A STICK

Steps:

• COMBINE cornmeal, flour and salt in a deep narrow bowl.
• ADD milk, egg and 2 TBSP vegetable oil, mixing well; set aside.
• FOR EACH corn dog:.
• Insert wooden skewer into end of frankfurter.
• Coat with additional flour.
• DIP one at a time into corn meal mixture.
• FRY in DEEP HOT oil at 375 degrees until deep golden brown.
• Repeat with remaining franks.

WIENER WINKS

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• Take 1 slice of bread and spread 1 teaspoon of butter on one side. Turn the bread over and place a slice of cheese on the bread. Place a frankfurter diagonally on the cheese. Fold bread corner to corner around the frankfurter. Insert a toothpick to hold together. Repeat steps for the remaining frankfurters.
• Bake in a preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
