An egg noodle/chicken casserole with celery, onion, carrots, mushrooms and a creamy cheese sauce. This was brought to us by one of our kind church ladies after the birth of son number 3! I begged her for the recipe...and now Wanda passes it on to all of you.

1 ⅔ cups uncooked egg noodles
3 tablespoons butter
1 stalk celery, chopped
¼ cup chopped onion
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (16 ounce) can diced carrots, drained
1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
3 cups cooked, cubed chicken or turkey meat
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup dry bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook noodles in boiling water for about 8 minutes, or until done. Drain.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Cook celery and onion in butter until tender, stirring frequently. Stir in soup, milk, and cheese. Cook, stirring, until cheese melts.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the noodles, cheese sauce mixture, carrots, mushrooms, chicken, and salt and pepper. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Top with bread crumbs.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until hot.

2 lb lean ground beef
1 Tbsp garlic salt
1/4 cup minced onion
12 oz No Yolk egg noodles
2 can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
1 can milk
1 small can mushrooms
1 pkg (12 oz.) Kraft cheddar cheese, divided
1 pkg (12 oz.) Kraft mozzarella cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Brown hamburger, garlic salt and onions. Drain. Cook noodles; drain well.
  • Add hamburger, soup, milk, mushrooms, 1/2 pkg. cheddar cheese, and 1/2 pkg. mozzarella cheese to the noodles. Mix well. Pour into baking dish and top with remaining cheeses.
  • Bake until cheese is melted, about 15-20 minutes.

This recipe has a lot of ingredients but it can divided in half or even into thirds or you can make it all and before you bake it you can freeze it for 4 months. This recipe is for a party or a large gathering. This recipe is delicious as a leftover meal.

3 lbs boneless chicken, cooked and diced
16 ounces frozen peas and carrots
8 1/2 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and diced
16 ounces alfredo sauce
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 ounces sour cream
10 1/2 ounces cambels cream of chicken soup
10 1/2 ounces cambels cream of celery soup
6 1/2 ounces of sliced mushrooms, diced
1 large onion, diced and sauteed
16 ounces egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon oregano or 1 teaspoon Italian spices
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup grated real parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon of each salt and pepper
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups heavy cream or 1 1/2 cups regular whole milk

Steps:

  • Combined all ingredients ( except for the Bisquick, Butter and cream) in a very large bowl until every ingredient is blended together thoroughly!
  • Preheat oven to 400*.
  • Spray with nonstick cooking oil, 2 - 9x13 baking dishes, and pour the ingredients evenly into both pans.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until the casserole is warmed all the way thru.
  • Remove from the oven and mix together the bisquik, melted butter and the cream until you have a pourable consistancy even if you have to add more cream or milk, the batter should not be too thick or to thin but a little thicker than pancake batter.
  • Pour the batter over the warm casseroles and return them to the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the topping looks like a pretty homemade biscuit. remove from the oven and brush biscuit topping with some melted butter. Let stand for 10 minutes and serve.

This recipe uses no crust. You could if you want to though. It's a comfort food that will warm you innards up! You can add most anything to it. The mushrooms you can use fresh or canned. I like the fresh. Seasonings are to taste. Try more or different seasonings too! Try a different cheese. Try adding some left over ham or crumbled bacon to the dish too. Note: 15 minutes of the cook time is included in the cooking time.

3 tablespoons butter
1 cup celery, chopped
1 onion, chopped

2 cups low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (4 1/2 ounce) can mushrooms
3 cups chicken or 3 cups turkey, cubed and cooked
3/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 (4 ounce) cans green chilies (any heat)

Steps:

  • Cook noodles in boiling water until done and drain.
  • In large skillet, saute carrots, celery, and onions till tender.
  • Stir in soups, milk, and cheese.
  • Cook, stirring constantly until cheese is melted.
  • In a large bowl, mix noodles. cheese sauce mixture, mushrooms, chicken, sauted vegetables, and seasonings (to taste).
  • Pour into a sprayed 3 quart (or 13 X 9) baking pan and even out.
  • Sprinkle with bread crumbs over the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until hot.
  • Serve with hot rolls.
