Ingredients

2 cups white sugar
7 cups water
2 tablespoons instant tea powder
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
2 cups cold water
2 cups vodka
1 liter lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

Steps:

In a 6 quart pot combine sugar and 7 cups water. Bring to boil and stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Stir in tea powder while hot. Add orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate and 2 cups cold water. Chill in refrigerator.
When cold mix in vodka. Pour into a plastic container leaving room on top for expansion. Freeze or 24 hours.
To serve, scoop about 1 cup into a tall glass and quickly stir in 1/3 cup lemon-lime soda.

Cool, refreshing and loaded with alcohol, this lemon vodka slush is going to be your favourite summer cocktail of all time after you've had just one delicious sip!

Ingredients

8 cups water / 4 cups water if using sweetener
3 cups granulated sugar (you can substitute an artificial sweetener)
6 cups pineapple juice
5 cups vodka
1 cup fresh lemon juice (from 4 large lemons)
2 cups fresh grapefruit juice (from 2 large grapefruits)
4 cups Sprite / 7Up + extra for mixing before serving (you can substitute Sprite/7Up Zero or sparkling water )

Steps:

In a large saucepan over a high heat, stir together the water and granulated sugar or artificial sweetener. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat down to medium-low. Leave to bubble for 10 minutes, until the sugar/sweetener has completely dissolved.
Pour the simple syrup into 29-cup plastic freezer-safe container. Leave to cool to room temperature for around 30 minutes.
When the simple syrup has cooled, stir in the rest of the ingredients (pineapple juice, vodka, lemon juice, grapefruit juice and 4 cups of Sprite/7Up/sparkling water). Place the container in the freezer for at least 24 hours to set.
When you're ready to serve, use an ice cream scoop to scoop out enough of the lemon vodka slush to fill a glass and pour over extra Sprite/7Up until it reaches the rim. Mix the drink with a straw or spoon to make it slushy then serve immediately.

Strawberry Vodka Slush is a frozen cocktail made with strawberries, freshly squeezed lemon juice, vodka, sugar and seltzer water.

1 pound strawberries hulled and frozen
1 cup lemon juice (4 lemons)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup vodka
1 cup seltzer water
1 cup ice
2 ounces extra vodka (optional )
2 lime slices
2 fresh strawberries
whipped cream optional

Steps:

Wash, hull and freeze strawberries. I always freeze the fruits my kids don't eat throughout the week and use for these type of recipes.
Squeeze 1 cup worth of lemon juice from about 4 lemons.
Place frozen berries into blender with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Serve in 2 glasses and garnish with a slice of lime and a strawberry.
Optional to add an extra ounce of vodka to float on top of each drink before serving. Try it with a dollop of whipped cream!

In a blender, combine lemonade concentrate, milk, water, vanilla and food coloring if desired; cover and process until blended. While processing, slowly add crushed ice. Process until slushy. Serve immediately.
