1 lb. beef sirloin steak, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (12 oz.) HEINZ HomeStyle Savory Beef Gravy
2 Tbsp. LEA & PERRINS Worcestershire Sauce

Steps:

  • Cook noodles as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add meat; cook 6 to 8 min. or until evenly browned, stirring frequently. Remove meat from skillet; set aside.
  • Add onions to skillet; cook and stir 4 to 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Add garlic; cook and stir 30 sec. Stir in gravy and Worcestershire sauce. Add meat; stir. Simmer on medium-low heat 2 to 3 min. or until heated through, stirring frequently.
  • Drain noodles; place on platter. Top with meat mixture.

1 head broccoli , cut into small florets
1 tbsp sesame oil
400g pack beef stir-fry strips
sliced spring onion
3 tbsp low-salt soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce (not oyster stir-fry sauce)
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 garlic cloves , crushed
1 thumb-sized knob ginger , peeled and finely grated
1 tbsp white wine vinegar

Steps:

  • Start by making up the sauce. Mix the ingredients together in a small bowl. Boil the noodles according to pack instructions. A minute before they are ready, tip in broccoli.
  • Meanwhile, heat the oil in a wok until very hot, then stir-fry the beef for 2-3 mins until well browned. Tip in the sauce, give it a stir, let it simmer for a moment, then turn off the heat. Drain the noodles, stir into the beef and serve straight away, scattered with spring onions.

8 ounces beef bones
1/3 pound carrots, coarsely chopped
1/3 pound celery, coarsely chopped
1/3 pound yellow onion, coarsely chopped
1 ounce instant au jus powder or 5 beef bouillon cubes, crushed
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
2 pounds beef roast, inside round or top round
8 cups beef stock
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus for dusting
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
4 egg yolks
2 teaspoons oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • For the broth: Place the beef bones in a large roasting pan and roast in the oven for 3 hours. Add the carrots, celery and onions, and roast 1 hour longer.
  • Mix the au jus powder with the granulated garlic and 1 teaspoon water to make a heavy paste. Coat the beef roast thoroughly. Cover the roast with foil and cook along with the bones for 1 hour. Remove the foil and cook 30 minutes longer. Allow to rest for 15 minutes.
  • Place the bones and roasted vegetables in a stockpot with the beef stock. Simmer for 1 hour. Strain the bones and vegetables and discard, and then return the liquid to the pot.
  • Cut the beef into 3/4-inch cubes. Add to the liquid and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • For the noodles: In a large mixing bowl, stir together the 3 cups of the flour and the salt.
  • In another bowl, combine 2/3 cup water, the eggs, yolks and oil. Mix, and then add to the dry ingredients.
  • Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic, 8 to 10 minutes. Add the remaining 1/2 cup flour, as needed. Cover with a towel and let rest for 10 minutes. Divide the dough in half on a lightly floured surface. Roll each half into a 12-by-12-inch square, about 1/16 inch thick. Cut into 2- to 3-inch-long strips. Toss the noodles with some flour to separate.
  • Add the noodles to the beef broth and simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

vegetable oil
2 cups beef bouillon
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons flour
1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles

Steps:

  • Sprinkle beef tips with salt and pepper. Coat with flour. Brown in heavy skillet over high heat in small amount of oil.
  • Reduce heat and add bouillon. Add Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer until beef tips are tender, about 1 hour. If necessary, add add water or broth to maintain 2 C of broth at the end of cooking period.
  • Stir 2 Tbsp flour into small amount of water and add to broth. Cook until thickened.

1 pound sirloin tips, cubed
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1.25 ounce) package beef with onion soup mix
1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1 cup water
1 (16 ounce) package wide egg noodles

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • In a 13x9 inch casserole dish, combine the mushroom and beef onion soups, canned mushrooms and water. Mix thoroughly and add beef tips. Turn to coat well.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour.

2 Tbsp vegetable oil
3-4 pound beef chuck roast
2 tsp minced garlic
1 medium white onion (diced)
2 Tbsp onion soup mix
4 cups beef stock
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp black pepper
16 oz. egg noodles
3 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp water
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
¼ cup all-purpose flour
4 cups reserved cooking liquid
2 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Place vegetable oil in a large skillet and place skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add chuck roast and sear for 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Using a large slow cooker, add minced garlic, diced onions, onion soup mix, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; stir until well combined.
  • Add chuck roast and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours. Once the beef is tender enough to fall apart easily, break roast into bite-sized pieces. Reserve 4 cups of cooking liquid from slow cooker to make gravy.
  • Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
  • To serve, place egg noodles on a large plate and top with beef.
  • Pour several spoonsful of gravy on top of beef before serving.
  • Using a small bowl, add cornstarch and water; whisk together until well combined. Set bowl aside.
  • Using a large saucepan, add butter and place over medium-low heat. Once butter has melted, add flour; continue sautéing, stirring frequently, for 4-5 minutes or until mixture turns golden brown.
  • Add 4 cups of reserved liquid from the slow cooker along with the ketchup and apple cider vinegar; stir until well combined. Increase heat to medium-high and bring mixture to a boil.
  • Once boiling, add cornstarch mixture. Using a whisk, stir until mixture is well combined.
  • Continue cooking, stirring often, for 3-5 minutes, or until gravy thickens noticeably.
  • Reduce heat to low to keep gravy warm.

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion (chopped)
2 pounds cubed chuck (or stew meat)
10 ½ ounces beef broth
10 ½ ounces French onion soup (condensed)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
salt & pepper (to taste)
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/3 cup water

Steps:

  • In a large pot or dutch oven, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat. Season beef with salt and pepper and brown in small batches. Remove beef from the pot and set aside.
  • Turn heat down to medium, add remaining oil and onion. Cook until softened, about 10 minutes.
  • Add beef, broth, soup, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaf to the pot. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until beef is fork tender.
  • To thicken gravy, combine cornstarch with 1/3 cup cold water. Pour into the beef a little at a time while stirring until it reaches desired consistency.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper. Discard bay leaf and serve over mashed potatoes.

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
6 garlic cloves, minced
1 bay leaf
4 to 6 stems of fresh thyme
24 ounces of dried egg noodles

Steps:

  • In a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat, heat up the oil. Stir in the sirloin tips, and cook until nicely browned, about 10 minutes, stirring as needed. Remove the beef, and transfer it to a plate.
  • In the same pan, melt the butter, and whisk in the flour to form a roux. Cook until it smells toasty and lightly browned, about 2 minutes.
  • Whisk in the beef broth slowly. Let it come to a boil. Stir in the paprika, marjoram, parsley, whole grain mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until the sauce is slightly thickened.
  • Put the browned beef tips into the slow cooker, and cover with the chopped onions, minced garlic, bay leaf, and fresh thyme. Top with the sauce, and cover with the lid.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Before serving, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, and cook the egg noodles according to the instructions on the package.
  • Remove the thyme stems and bay leaf from the beef tips, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve generously over a bowl of egg noodles.
