- Preheat oven to 400°F Place the apples, round side up, in a well-buttered ovenproof dish.
- Place the butter, sugar, flour, and cream in a pan, heating gently until blended.
- Meanwhile, carefully toast the almonds on a cookie sheet in the oven. --Watch these carefully!
- Pour the melted butter mixture over the apples, sprinkle with the almonds, and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the apples are tender. Serve immediately, with cream. .
