Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup pancake mix
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup cooked turkey (diced or shredded)
leftover turkey gravy (or a bottle of store bought turkey gravy)

Steps:

  • Heat gravy and keep warm.
  • Preheat griddle (if electric set to 400 degrees).
  • In mixing bowl combine egg,milk and oil.Stir to blend.
  • Add pancake mix,blend with fork until smooth.
  • Mix in turkey.
  • Bake on a hot,lightly greased griddle using a 1/4 cup of mix for each pancake.Turn pancakes only once when tops are covered with bubbles and edges begin to dry.When pancakes are done,serve with gravy on the side to pour over pancakes.

Ground turmeric adds a splash of all-natural colour to this easy pancake recipe - serve with sliced fresh fruit, a dollop of lemon curd and some stem ginger for extra spice.

200g self raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp honey
¼ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground turmeric
200ml milk
3 eggs
25g butter , melted plus extra for frying
1-2 balls stem ginger , sliced
4 tbsp orange or lemon curd
slices of orange or mango

Steps:

  • Put all of the pancake ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk together until smooth and lump-free.
  • Heat a small knob of butter in a large non-stick frying pan until melted and foaming. Add 2 tbsp batter to make each pancake and swirl it round into a circle with the back of the spoon. Cook them for 2-3 mins on one side then flip them over with a spatula and cook for a further minute until golden and cooked through. Heat oven to its lowest setting, transfer the cooked pancakes to a tray and keep them warm in the oven until they've all been fried.
  • Stack the pancakes up with lemon curd, ginger and fresh fruit slices on top.

  • In a large bowl, stir together Bisquick, milk, eggs, molasses, cinnamon and ginger until well combined.
  • Spoon batter onto a hot greased griddle, making six large circle pancakes and six smaller circle pancakes about half the size. Cook until golden, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Place one large pancake on a serving plate; top with one smaller pancake. Decorate pancake with apple slices, raisins and carrot sticks to make a turkey shape (see photo). Sprinkle apple slices lightly with extra cinnamon.
