1 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1 jar (2 oz) sliced pimientos, drained, if desired
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/3 cup cold water
Paprika, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 1 1/2-quart round casserole with cooking spray.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, stir frozen vegetables, tuna, soup, milk, pimientos, relish and lemon juice until well mixed. Heat over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are thawed and mixture is hot and starts to bubble. Pour into casserole.
  • In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix and cold water with fork until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Drop dough by 4 spoonfuls onto tuna mixture; sprinkle with paprika.
  • Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.

1/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°F. In ungreased 2-quart casserole, mix tuna, soup, vegetables and 2/3 cup milk. Bake uncovered 20 minutes.
  • In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, cheese and 1/2 cup milk until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto hot tuna mixture.
  • Bake uncovered 10 to 12 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Mix butter and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits.

¼ cup chopped onion
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup frozen green peas
2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 cup crushed potato chips

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, thoroughly mix noodles, onion, 1 cup cheese, peas, tuna, soup and mushrooms. Transfer to a 9x13 inch baking dish, and top with potato chip crumbs and remaining 1 cup cheese.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheese is bubbly.

4 Cups Cooked Wide Egg Noodles, cooked to al dente - see notes
1 - 7 ounce Can Tuna, Drained (see notes for types)
1 Tablespoon Butter, unsalted
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 Tablespoon Flour
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Dash Pepper
1/4 Pound American Cheese, shredded- (about 1 cup)
1/2 cup Peas
1/3 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
1 tablespoon melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°
  • Prepare baking dish (approximately 1-quart casserole dish) by buttering edges or using pam spray. Set aside.
  • Place noodles, and tuna in a mixing bowl. (Flake the tune gently so the pieces are broken apart.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter on medium-high. Then add minced onion. Cook for 2 minutes until onion is translucent.
  • Add flour while constantly stirring with a whisk. Cook for 2 minutes to cook out the powdery taste and bring out the nutty rich flavor.
  • Add milk, and continue to whisk for 5-7 minutes until mixture thickens. Then add cheese, salt and pepper to taste Cook for 2-3 minutes more until all cheese has melted.
  • Remove from heat and pour over tuna and noodles. Add peas. Stir to combine.
  • Place into a buttered baking dish -- If making ahead, cover the dish with plastic, and place in the fridge. Don't place topping on until you are ready to bake it. (see notes)
  • Stir panko and melted butter together and sprinkle over tuna and noodles.
  • Bake for 20 minutes and serve.

  • Boil noodles al dente according to package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water.

This is one of my favorite recipes, using Albacore tuna,celery, mushroom soup, blue cheese, peas, and served with a cheese sauce. A great presentation - I often serve this during Lenten season too- it is so good my family asks for it!!

1 c thawed peas
14 oz can albacore tuna, drained and flaked
1 large egg
1/2 c chopped onion
1/2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp celery salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 can(s) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
2 c bisquick baking mix
1/2 c cold water
CHEESE SAUCE:
1/4 c butter or margarine
1/4 c bisquick baking mix
1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
2 c milk
1 c shredded cheddar cheese/ or 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/2 can(s) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 c thawed peas

Steps:

  • 1. Beat egg slightly; stir in tuna, onion, cheese, parsley, celery salt and pepper, 1/2 can undiluted soup and peas into egg. Set aside. Combine baking mix and water to a soft dough; knead 6 times on floured board. Roll into rectangle, 15x10-inches. Spread with tuna mixture. Roll up, beginning at long side. With sealed edge down, shape into ring on the greased jelly roll pan; pinch ends together. With scissors, make cuts 2/3 of the way through ring at 1-inch intervals. Turn each cut section on its side to show filling. Spray top with buttery non stick baking spray. Bake in 375^ for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with hot cheese sauce. --- Cheese Sauce: Melt butter over low heat; blend in baking mix, salt and pepper. Cook stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in milk, soup and peas. Heat to boiling. stirring constantly for 1 minute. Stir in cheese until melted. Serve with each slice of the tuna ring. --- Note: Chopped cooked chicken, hamburger, scrambled eggs and ham, or vegetables may be substituted for the tuna, if desired. Makes a great breakfast, lunch or dinner entrée. Can be made Mexican style with hamburger,spices and cheese; or pizza style with seasonings and pepper jack cheese. You get the idea, endless combinations.
