TRADER JOE'S TOUCHDOWN CHILI
Had a sample in the store and it was very good and easy. I tasted it with turkey but you can use either turkey, beef, chicken or tofu. The bean salad is a 3 bean medley (Chickpeas, red kidney, and Romano beans) in a lemon and white vinegar marinade with garlic, onion, and oregano called Marinated Bean Salad and it is sold as a Trader Joe's brand product.

10 VEGETARIAN TRADER JOE'S RECIPES - KITCHN
From thekitchn.com

- Trader Joe’s Mediterranean Falafel Salad. This salad is simple to make but is by no means boring. The Mediterranean-Style Salad Kit, 10-Minute Farro, and Falafel Mix combine to create a hearty lunch or dinner bowl that takes a fraction of the time as making falafel from scratch.
- Saag Paneer Pizza. If you thought Trader Joes’ frozen Palak Paneer couldn’t get any better, think again. Spread it out on a Cauliflower Pizza Crust and top it with their Roasted Potatoes with Peppers & Onions or any other veggie mixture you like for a whole new twist on pizza night.
- Butternut Squash and Broccolini Rice Bowl with Soy Chorizo. If you have yet to try Trader Joe’s famous Soy Chorizo, you’re in for a treat. It’s chock-full of protein and absurdly flavorful.
- Pulled Jackfruit Sandwiches with Red Cabbage Slaw from Olives for Dinner. Canned jackfruit has the texture of meat and can be dressed up in so many different ways, making it great for vegetarians who are cooking for meat-eaters.
- Trader Joe’s Garlic Naan Flatbread Pizza. If you’re tempted to skip the cooking tonight and order a pizza, I encourage you to try this recipe instead — you’ll have dinner in a quarter of the time it would take for delivery to arrive.
- Trader Joe’s Individual Pot Pies by Cup of Jo. Pot pies are always a fun treat, and TJ’s Frozen Pie Crusts make it so much easier to throw them together.
- Sheet Pan Cauliflower Gnocchi from Domestikated Life. TJ’s Cauliflower Gnocchi has a cult following for a reason — it’s good. The only complaint is that it’s a little gooey if you just cook it in the microwave.
- Cauliflower Rice Lunch Bowl with Sweet Potatoes and Chickpeas. By just swapping out the grains for Cauliflower Rice, you can make a bowl that has twice as many veggies.
- Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower Bowls with Avocado and Green Tahini. If you always burn your rice, Trader Joe’s cooks it and freezes it for you so all you need to do is toss it in the microwave.
- Lemon Ricotta Ravioli with Wilted Greens from The Clever Carrot. Stressing over the cooking can ruin a perfectly nice date night. Boil Girasoli Ricotta + Lemon Zest Ravioli, wilt some greens, and sprinkle on olive oil and Parmesan.

- Heat olive oil and garlic in a large pot, deep frying pan, or right in your instant pot or crock pot over medium heat.
- Add diced onion, carrots, and celery to pan/pot and cook until tender - the onions will start to look somewhat translucent, about 5 - 8 minutes.
- Add water or broth, diced sweet potato, diced butternut squash, black beans, cauliflower, lentils, quinoa, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, pumpkin puree, and all spices and herbs to your softened onions, garlic, carrots, and celery, in your crock pot/instant pot or soup pan, and mix everything together. On the slow cooker setting, with the vent switched to the open position, cover with lid and turn to low for 7-8 hours, or high for about 4 hours. (If you make this in an Instant Pot, the soup should cook in about an hour on the SOUP setting; again, with the vent open. This method works really well too, you just made need to add a bit more broth.)

- Organic Garbanzo Beans. Keep a can of garbanzo beans in your pantry for last-minute homemade hummus, crispy air-fryer chickpeas, or an Indian-inspired chana masala (chickpea stew).
- Italian Marinara with Barolo Wine. Quite possibly one of the best items sold at Trader Joe’s, this marinara sauce reigns superior for its rich flavor likely attributed to the addition of the Italian Barolo wine.
- Premium Chunk White Chicken. Canned white chicken is the necessary pantry essential to solve all of your weeknight dinner woes. Whip out a can of this protein-packed food to make a quick buffalo chicken dip or easy classic chicken salad to satisfy your hunger when pressed for time or simply too tired to cook.
- Organic Butternut Squash. Use Trader Joe’s organic butternut squash to make a rich mac and cheese sauce, combine with ricotta for the perfect ravioli filling, or turn it into a creamy butternut squash soup.
- Solid White Albacore Tuna. Made with only three simple ingredients—solid white tuna, water and salt—this minimally processed canned good is a great option to add any much-needed protein to your everyday diet (13 grams per serving!).
- Green Jackfruit In Brine. Instead of having to carve this gigantic fruit by hand, purchase this 20-ounce can to keep on hand to make last-minute, delicious vegetarian meals.
- Organic Vegetarian Chili. This vegan chili is packed with tons of hearty and healthy ingredients like red beans, bell peppers, garlic, and spices—and we swear it will warm your soul.

- Heat the avocado oil in a large non stick pan add all the veggies except the garlic and cook until tender about 8 to 10 mins. Then, add the garlic and cook 2 minutes more. Season with 1 tsp sea salt and garlic powder.
TRADER JOE'S FROZEN FOODS: 12 OF OUR FAVORITE VEGETARIAN ...

- Vegetable Fried Rice. I am a little too obsessed with this frozen veggie fried rice. It’s tasty enough to eat on its own, but I usually pair this with a few other frozen TJ’s items (check them out below) to make an at-home Asian meal.
- Thai Vegetable Gyoza. I often grab this frozen bag of vegetable gyoza to pair with the veggie fried rice I mentioned above. These are another great Asian meal component you can quickly heat up on the stove — just follow the package’s instructions to first sear the bottoms and then add water to pan steam.
- Vegetable Spring Rolls. These little guys are filled with kale, edamame, mushrooms, and shredded tofu, and whether you’re vegetarian, vegan or none of the above, you’ll love them.
- Cauliflower Gnocchi. Recognize this package? Yes, these are one of Trader Joe’s most popular frozen food items, and if you haven’t tried them yet, you’re seriously missing out.
- French Onion Soup. You guys, these are my newest Trader Joe’s frozen section find, and I. Am. Obsessed. Each box contains two individually packaged cylinders of flavorful French onion soup that you simply pop into a microwavable bowl and heat for five minutes.
- Gluten-Free Mac & Cheese. If you’re like me and stock up on frozen microwavable meals for easy work or on-the-go lunches, this mac and cheese meal is for you.
- Fusilli with Vegetables & Basil Pesto. Another great frozen meal that I often stock up on to take to work. Though this is a boxed lunch (or single-serving dinner!)
- Farfalle with Four Cheeses & Spinach. Cheesy bow-tie pasta paired with spinach — what’s better than that?! You can either cook this on the stove or in the microwave, but I usually just pop this box in the microwave for a super quick lunch of perfectly al dente pasta.
- Cauliflower Pizza Crust. We’re a little obsessed with make-your-own pizza night at home right now, but instead of indulging in hearty dough every time we make this favorite dinner, I often swap my base for TJ’s cauliflower pizza crust.
- Mushroom Risotto. Trader Joe’s frozen risottos are fabulous. I love both the mushroom and asparagus versions and buy them often. They’re perfect as a side dish — they pair well with steak, roasted chicken, or sausage — or on their own.

- Thai Vegetable Gyoza. When I was younger, dumplings were my favorite food of all time. But since becoming vegetarian, I couldn't find any purely vegetable dumplings until now.
- Mango Jicama Slaw. This is the salad to grab if you want some crunch. I was incredibly pleased to find a mountain of cilantro piled on the top. The lime vinaigrette has a bit of a kick, but it's just the right amount of tang for the slaw.
- Super Spinach Salad. This salad has literally all of my favorite foods combined in one, so I had to give it a try. I ended up devouring it, of course. The selection of prepared salads at Trader Joe's is incomparable to any other grocery store.
- Tillamook Cheddar Cheese. You may be wondering why I picked a cheese to taste test. Well, lots of cheeses actually contain a culture called rennet, which isn't vegetarian.
- Greens, Beans, and Grains. Suspicious of this combo? Yup, I was too. But to my surprise, the mix worked delightfully together. I would recommend giving this one a try if you're looking for another practical frozen meal.
- Channa Masala. I have one word... spicy. I'm not the most tolerant with spicy food, but even my family agreed with me on this one. I personally love Chana masala, but this one took the spice a little too far for me.
- Thai Sweet Chili Veggie Burger. These veggie burgers are your average, everyday frozen veggie patties. Not the best, not the worst. I would eat them again, but they wouldn't be my first choice.
- Indian Fare Madras Lentils. For this item being a non-refrigerated, boxed item, it really wasn't horrible. Like many foods from Trader Joe's, it was no problem to prepare.
- Fruit Bars. Trader Joe's fruit bars are convenient to bring with the school or work for a boost of energy, and they only have two ingredients (apple and the other fruit in the bar).
- Vegetable Bird Nests. These bird nests have a nice, crispy texture and come with a handy dipping sauce, but I found them to be quite greasy. Tasty and quick for after school, but not the healthiest with all the oil, putting them in 10th place.

- Protein Patties. Similar (cough) … to a Beyond Burger (cough), these are made with pea protein, oat fiber, oils, and vegetable juices. They have splotches of pink beet juice on them like burgeoning zits.
- Soy Chorizo. To make this meatless masterpiece, cumin and chile powder-spiced soy crumbles are squeezed into a sausage “tube” (made of PLASTIC) to resemble how you’d buy pork chorizo for your breakfast tacos.
- Chickenless Crispy Tenders. These are the exact length of my fingers, so points for that, Joseph. The crunchy breadcrumb coating = excellent. The flavor = neutral.
- Chicken-less Mandarin Orange Morsels. Like the chicken-less tenders, the un-chicken nuggets here are very firm to the point of tough, with a crispy exterior that gets too chewy in parts.
- Meatless Meatballs. These guys are the size of dried limes and they’re ready in a quick 10 minutes, baked in the oven from frozen. The exterior gets a slight crisp, but inside it’s blahhhh.
- Jackfruit Cakes. I remember how much these surprised me when I tried them for the first time last year; the similarity to a shreddy crab cake is crazy. They’re heavy on the celery salt and a bit tougher than crab, and the starches holding it together get gummy, but crab better watch out.
- Sausage-less Italian Sausage. These have an impressive springy, sausage-like bounce, but I wish they went heavier on spices other than a sprinkling of fennel seeds.
- Beef-less Ground Beef. This is solidly close enough. Unlike soy chorizo, which has a fine grind, this is looser, with bigger crumbles. There are kibble bits—tiny chewy cubes–in there that freaked me out at first, but if you’re eating this over rice, or in a taco, or in pasta sauce, you don’t pay attention to those details.
- Breakfast sausage. I baked a patty (they’re the size of a powder compact) and found it had a hushpuppy-like consistency inside, dense and bready. There’s a faint maple syrup breakfast sausage seasoning but I mean FAINT.
- Breaded Turkey-Less Stuffed Roast with Gravy. It’s cool this exists! (You can find it in stores around the holidays, typically.) It’s the size of a big calzone.

From eatthis.com
- Chocolate Chip Sandwich Cookies. These crispy chocolate-filled sandwich cookies were discontinued in June, and many Trader Joe's fans were disappointed by the news, to say the least.
- Chili Lime Mayonnaise. It's fair to say that Trader Joe's chili lime seasoning is quite the crowd-pleaser, but the flavored mayonnaise wasn't enough to hold its own.
- Barbeque Popped Ridges. On Dec. 2, @traderjoestobediscontinued announced that the Barbeque Popped Ridges will be discontinued soon. The announcement caused an uproar from fans. @
- Broccoli & Kale Pizza Crust. Released in 2019, Trader Joe's broccoli and kale pizza crust was a gluten-free, veggie-packed canvas for pizza toppings—and is no longer in TJ's freezer section.
- Lengendary Nut and Berry Mix. As of July, the Legendary Nut and Berry Mix has been living up to its name: it's now just a legend. The mix included almonds, cranberries, raisins, cashews, blueberries, walnuts, and raspberries.
- Organic Buffalo Style Hummus. Another 2019 product bit the dust this year. This hot sauce-infused hummus didn't last very long, and its farewell is met with mixed reactions.
- Soy & Flaxseed Tortilla Chips. These high-fiber, protein-packed tortilla chips got the boot over the summer—and shoppers had mixed responses. One Instagram user wrote, "WHY.
- Pub Cheese. Typically paired with vegetables or crackers, this Blue and Cheddar Pub Cheese got the ax in October. While the plain pub cheese is a crowd favorite for those in this Reddit thread, Reddit user @SimplyBohemian, who started the thread when the cheese spread was still available, noted, "I think the flavors mix really well!
- Black Bean Rotini. This low-carb, protein-packed, gluten-free pasta alternative made with only black bean flour was discontinued last spring. In spite of this, another one-ingredient pasta reigns supreme in the grocery store's pasta category: Hearts of Palm Pasta—which was recently named one of the healthiest new Trader Joe's products.
- Chicken and Mushroom Pelmeni. After much speculation in the spring over whether these Russian dumplings were getting discontinued, @traderjoestobediscontinued finally confirmed the news at the end of October—and people weren't happy.

- Cauliflower Gnocchi. If you haven't been paying attention, cauliflower is the new kale. This vegetable can be used to make almost anything. From cauliflower rice to cauliflower pizza crust to cauliflower mash, this crunchy white stalk is finally getting all the love it deserves.
- Chicken-less Mandarin Orange Morsels. Often when people aren't sure how to describe a vegetarian food they say it tastes like chicken. Well, in the case of Trader Joe's Chicken-less Mandarin Orange Morsels, it's actually true.
- Yellow Jackfruit Curry with Jasmine Rice. If you haven't gotten on the jackfruit train, and you love curry, Trader Joe's Jackfruit Curry with Jasmine Rice is so delicious you won't believe it's actually vegetarian.
- Trader Joe's Lentils. If you love you some lentils, but you don't love cooking them, Trader Joe's has pre-cooked lentils that you can instantly transform into a meal.
- Soy Chorizo. OK, I'm generally suspicious of non-meat products that claim to taste like meat. Case in point, tofurkey. However, the buzz around Trader Joe's Soy Chorizo just might change my mind.
- Lavender Salt Scrub. If you want to score some boss vegetarian bath products that are guaranteed to be cruelty free, Trader Joe's takes the guesswork out of all of that label reading.
- A Midsummer Night’s Cream Moisturizing Cream. If you're sensitive to additives in bath and body products, Trader Joe's A Midsummer Night’s Cream Moisturizing Cream might just be the best body lotion out there.
- Dark Chocolate Orange Sticks. Sometimes it can be tricky to be a vegetarian because animal byproducts tend to show up in unexpected places, like candy and chocolate.
- Mango & Sticky Rice Spring Rolls. Part afternoon snack, part after-dinner dessert, Trader Joe's Mango & Sticky Rice Spring Rolls are everything you've been missing in your life.
- Churro Bites. A go-to summer snack that will transport you back to summer trips to the county fair, Trader Joe's describes its churro bites as "golden nuggets of churro-riffic goodness."

- Hash brown with avocado and a fried egg + Meatless Breakfast Patty. In the first few months of 2021, I saw a TikTok that truly changed my life (that might be dramatic, but it’s kind of true).
- Fully-Cooked Falafel on a pita with hummus, Tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, and chopped veggies. Hiding under all of these chopped veggies are three Trader Joe’s Fully-Cooked Falafels—I swear.
- Vegetable Fried Rice cooked in Island Soyaki sauce + Thai Vegetable Gyoza. You might be seeing a pattern now: The TJ’s frozen section is my (and all vegetarians’) best friend.
- Cauliflower Gnocchi with pesto, balsamic glaze, and crumbled goat cheese. You didn’t think I’d get through this whole list without mentioning Cauliflower Gnocchi, did you?
- Old Fashioned Organic Oats sweetened with raw agave + a dollop of natural peanut butter. This might seem basic, but I’m a long-time oatmeal lover, and I would say that finding a good one is a little bit difficult.
