1 pkg vanilla instant pudding mix
2 c milk
1 pkg cream filled sponge cakes
1 pkg chocolate covered toffee candy bars, crushed
4 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare pudding according to package directions using 2 cups milk.
  • 2. Meanwhile, slice cakes in half horizontally. Line an 11 x 7 inch dish with bottom halves of cakes, cut sides up. Sprinkle with 1/2 candy.
  • 3. Spoon pudding over candy. Place top of cakes over pudding, cut sides down.
  • 4. Spread with whipped topping; sprinkle with remaining candy.
  • 5. Cover and chill 2 hours.

1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant butterscotch pudding mix
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
1 cup water
3/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350*. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Combine and set aside brown sugar, nuts, and cinnamon.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, pudding, water, cooking oil, vanilla and eggs.
  • Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour 1/3 of batter in prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle with 1/3 of brown sugar mixture.
  • Pour remaining batter over brown sugar and sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mix.
  • Bake at 350* for 45 minutes or when top springs back when touched lightly in center.

My sister first let me have a taste of these delicious bars and I knew I had to have the recipe. The recipe originally came from the Taste of Home magazine, and is supposed to taste similar to a famous Girl Scout cookie. To me it didn't taste much like that cookie, but it was fantastic in its own right. When I make this I use the Smucker's Sugar Free topping--it cuts some of the calories and I don't notice a difference in flavor. You can use semi sweet chips if you have trouble finding dark, but I think milk chocolate chips would be too sweet in this recipe.

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar, plus
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1 (12 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in extracts. Combine flour, salt and baking powder; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  • Press into greased 9x13 baking pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Prick crust with a fork; sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake 15 minutes longer or until set.
  • Meanwhile, place coconut and almonds in food processor; cover and process until finely chopped. Transfer to a small bowl; stir in ice cream topping. Spread evenly over crust. Bake for 5-10 minutes or until edges are bubbly. Cool on wire rack.
  • In a microwave, melt chocolate chips; stir until smooth. Drizzle over caramel mixture. Let stand until chocolate is set. Cut into bars.

0.25 cups water
4 ounces milk chocolate candy
8 ounces pecans

Steps:

  • Melt butter in heavy pan, adding sugar, corn syrup, and water. Insert candy thermometer and cook, stirring often, until mixture reaches the hard crack stage (300°).
  • Pour into a buttered cookie sheet and cool completely.
  • Melt chocolate bar and spread over top of toffee and then sprinkle with pecans. Chill until hard and break into pieces.

1 1/2 pkg saltine crackers
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 bag milk chocolate chips
1/2 bag peanut butter chips
**You may use 1 bag of chocolate/peanut butter swirl chips

Steps:

  • Put oven rack in highest position, preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a 12x18 pan with sides with aluminum foil. Then cover with saltine crackers. In a separate pot, melt butter and add brown sugar, let simmer four minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over crackers, spread until crackers are covered.
  • Put in oven for nine minutes. Remove from oven, cover with both chips, and let sit for two minutes then smooth with spatula.
  • Put in fridge for two hours. Then break apart. STORE IN FREEZER.

1 jar (16 ounces) chocolate fudge sauce
1 prepared angel food cake (8 to 10 ounces)
3/4 cup English toffee bits

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, fold whipped topping into chocolate sauce just until blended. Split cake horizontally into three layers; place one layer on a serving plate. Spread with a fourth of the topping mixture and a fourth of the toffee bits. Repeat layers. Top with remaining cake layer. , Frost the top and sides with remaining topping mixture; sprinkle with remaining toffee bits. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours. Refrigerate leftovers.
