PINEAPPLE BACON BURGERS
Seasoned hamburger and a slice of pineapple are slapped together, and wrapped in bacon. It's that easy, and adds a wonderful flavor to a regular burger! This recipe was one of my grandmother's favorites. We would make these special for her when she would come up to see us.

Steps:
- Prepare grill for indirect cooking.
- In a large bowl, mix together hamburger meat and barbecue sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Shape mixture into 4 large patties. Place a slice of pineapple on top of each. Crisscross 2 bacon strips around each burger, and secure with toothpicks.
- Brush oil on grate. Place burgers on grill over medium low heat. Cook, covered, until the burger is cooked through. Turn often to avoid burning the bacon.

GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST AND PINEAPPLE
I have been on the lookout for a recipe that I could make myself. Infusing pineapple with teriyaki was delicious! It is the perfect amount of sweet and salty and the longer you let your chicken marinate, the more delicious it becomes! This grilled recipe is now a staple at our house - everyone loves it. Serve with peas, rice, or salad.

- Combine chicken, pineapple rings, soy sauce, lime juice, pineapple juice, honey, ketchup, ginger, sesame oil, and garlic in a large resealable plastic bag. Marinate for 4 hours, up to overnight.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Cook chicken on the preheated grill until browned and no longer pink in the center, flipping as needed, about 15 minutes. Add pineapple rings to the grill during the last 5 minutes of cooking time. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the chicken should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

HAWAIIAN HAMBURGERS WITH GRILLED PINEAPPLE
Plan ahead the shaped uncooked burger patties need to marinate for a minimum of 6 hours to blend the flavors before grilling. If possible use fresh pineapple rings for this about 1/2-inch thick or a little larger. If you prefer a little kick then add in a small amount of cayenne pepper --- You can also use half ground pork and beef --- you will LOVE these burgers!

- In a large bowl whisk/mix the first six ingredients together until well blended.
- Add in the ground beef with garlic, green onions, black pepper and salt; mix to combine.
- Shape the ground beef into 7-8 patties (about 1-inch thick).
- Place the shaped patties on a baking sheet; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 6 hours.
- Grill the burgers over medium-high heat, brushing with soy sauce while grilling.
- Grill for about 6 minutes per side.
- The last 4 minutes or grilling place the pineapple slices on the grill; lightly brown on both sides (about 2 minutes per side).
- Place a lettuce leaf on each crusty bun.
- Top with a grilled burger and then a slice of grilled pineapple.
- Delicious!
SPICY TERIYAKI BURGER WITH GRILLED PINEAPPLE
These Hawaiian-style Teriyaki Burgers with Grilled Pineapple deliver a spicy kick! Juicy beef patties are drenched in a sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce, then topped with grilled pineapple and zesty red onion.

- Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining water, soy sauce, honey, mirin, brown sugar, cornstarch and sriracha.
- Bring the sauce ingredients to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir or whisk the sauce until it thickens.
- Season the burger patties generously with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Gently place the burger patties on a grill or cast iron skillet.
- Allow the burger to sear for about 2 minutes before flipping them over and searing the other side for another minute (or longer if you prefer your burgers well done).
- Baste each side of the burger with the teriyaki sauce while it is still on the grill/skillet. When the burger patties are cooked, set them aside.
- Set the pineapple rings on the grill or skillet. Grill for 1 minute per side.

THAI CHICKEN BURGERS WITH GRILLED PINEAPPLE RING
Steps:
- With your hands, mix together the ground chicken with all the other ingredients except for the peanut butter. After the meat mixture is well mixed, divide into four equally sized balls. Make an indentation in each ball with your thumb. Add one Tablespoon of peanut butter in each of the four holes made in the balls of meat mixture. Then, carefully close the top opening of each hole so that the peanut butter is wrapped completely by the meat. Next, flatten the balls to form burger patties. Grill over medium-hot grill for 10-15 minutes, turning burgers halfway through. For Pineapple: sprinkle each pineapple slice with about a tablespoon of brown sugar and grill over open flame for 1-2 minutes on each side. Top each burger with a grilled pineapple ring and sliced cucumbers. Serve on top of a hamburger bun or between slices of thick toast.
