This is a great breakfast that you can grab fast in the morning. It goes great with a hot cup of coffee. It also keeps very well so you can make some on Sunday night and enjoy it all week!

2 cups rolled oats
1 green apple, chopped
1 cup 2% milk
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1 banana, chopped
¼ cup raisins
1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon slivered almonds
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon orange juice

Steps:

  • Mix oats, apple, milk, yogurt, banana, raisins, walnuts, almonds, brown sugar, honey, and orange juice together in a bowl. Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.

1 cup old fashioned oats, uncooked
16 ounces vanilla yogurt
2 tablespoons sliced almonds
8 ounces crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
2 cups fresh strawberries or 2 cups blueberries
sliced almonds, garnish

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, combine oats, yogurt, pineapple, and almonds. Mix well.
  • Cover, refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days.
  • To serve, layer oat mixture and berries in parfait glasses.
  • Garnish with additional sliced almonds.

4 cups oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup dried apricot, chopped
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
4 chopped dates
1/4 cup dried cranberries

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • The above amount of ingredients will make about 8 servings.
  • This can be kept so it's ready for future use.
  • For 2 servings bring 2 cups water to a boil.
  • Add 1 ¼ cups Swiss Breakfast.
  • Turn heat to low and cook uncovered.
  • stirring occasionally until water is absorbed, about 7 minutes.
  • Cover, and set for about 2 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with a touch of low fat milk or unsweetened soy milk.
  • or you can just add milk and eat straight away if you don't have time to cook.
