1 lb ground beef
1 package (1 oz) Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix
1/2 cup water
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
2 cans (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives, taco sauce or salsa, as desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef until no longer pink. Add taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup water. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened. In medium bowl, mix beef mixture and cheese.
  • Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 16 triangles. On ungreased large cookie sheet, arrange triangles in ring so short sides of triangles form a 5-inch circle in center. Dough will overlap. Dough ring should look like the sun.
  • Spoon beef mixture on the half of each triangle closest to center of ring.
  • Bring each dough triangle up over filling, tucking dough under bottom layer of dough to secure it. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed (some filling might show a little).
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked. Cool 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into serving slices.

3 tbsp. butter, divided
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
2 sprigs thyme, divided
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 8-oz. tubes Crescent Rolls
1/3 c. Grainy mustard
1 lb. deli roast beef
8 slices provolone
2 egss, beaten with 1 tsp water for egg wash
1 tbsp. chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 Garlic clove, minced
1 c. beef stock
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Melt 2 tbsp butter in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in onion and 1 thyme sprig. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions begin to soften and turn slightly golden. Season with salt and pepper and reduce heat to medium. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and caramelized. Remove from heat.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll crescent rolls, separating each triangle. Arrange in a sunburst pattern, with pointed ends of the triangles facing outward (the base of the triangles should overlap).
  • Spread mustard on dough. Top with provolone, roast beef, and onions creating a ring at the base of the triangles. Fold triangle tips over filling and tuck under base to secure.
  • In a small bowl, whisk egg. Brush top of dough with egg and sprinkle with parsley and garlic powder. Bake until dough is golden and cheese has melted, 15-20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make au jus. Melt remaining butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant. Add beef stock, Worcestershire sauce and thyme, stripped from stem. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes until reduced slightly. Pour into a small bowl and garnish with parsley.
  • Serve ring hot with the dipping sauce.

I saw a recipe for a buffalo chicken ring and decided to change it up. I think you could put just about anything inside crescent rolls and it will be good. This is great as an appetizer, and I have also made it as a main dish.

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 lb quality deli ham, chopped
4 ounces shredded swiss cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tubes crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Combine all ingredients (except rolls) in a bowl. I use an electric mixer to get it well blended.

  • Place filling in a ring shape on top of the dough circle. Fold the dough over to cover the filling.

This was one of my dh's favourite dishes, when we were first married, it was a great way to use up leftover roast beef with Pillsbury crescents dough. It's tasty, quick and easy to make and best of all it looks like it took awhile to make. Only you need to know how easy this was.

3 tablespoons sweet white onions, finely chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup sweet red pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup yellow sweet pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup wild mushroom, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups beef, leftovers, diced
1 (8 ounce) package Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground
1 tablespoon margarine, softened

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl mix the onion, mustard, parsley, salt, pepper, margarine and lemon juice together and blend well.
  • Add the cheese, colored peppers, mushrooms and the diced beef, mix lightly.
  • Separate the dough into 8 triangles and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Arrange the triangles in a circle with the bases over lapping.
  • The center opening should be about 3 inches in diameter.
  • Points should be towards the outside.
  • Spoon the filling in a ring over bases of triangle.
  • Fold the points of the triangle over the filling and tuck under the base at the center of the circle.
  • When finished it should look like a round ring.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
  • Perfect served with a fresh salad.

4 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature ((I used light cream cheese, but any variety will work))
1 tablespoon mayonnaise ((I used light mayonnaise, but any will work))
1 tablespoon ketchup
¼ cup finely diced roast beef
¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Stir in roast beef, cheddar cheese, and garlic powder. Mix well and set aside.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  • Spread each triangle with cream cheese mixture, leaving a border around the edge. Roll up to form crescent rolls.
  • Place rolls on a large baking sheet. Bake for approximately 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • After baking, allow to cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before removing.

1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chopped fully cooked ham
3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Arrange crescent rolls on a 13-in. round pizza pan, forming a ring with wide ends overlapping and pointed ends facing the outer edge of pan. , In a large skillet, saute mushrooms and onion in butter for 8 minutes or until juices are absorbed. Add remaining ingredients; stir well. Spoon over wide ends of rolls.
