SWEET PORK CHOPS
This is a recipe that a friend of mine makes and she said that she found it when she was living in New Orleans. I guess that it's Southern USA Cooking!

Steps:
- First mix all the spices.
- Then put half of the spice mixture and the garlic cloves on the pork chops. Leave them for 1 hour.
- Brown the pork chops in a skillet with the oil and then put them in a casserole dish.Add the remaining spice mix.
- Put the butter in the skillet then the maple syrup and arrange the onion rings. Cook until tender.
- Place the onions on the pork chops.
- Add half of the coke in the skillet and then add the apple and cook until tender.
- Place the apples on the pork chops and add the remaining coke.
- Cover with foil and place in the oven for 40 minutes at 330°F.
COUNTRY PORK CHOP AND RICE BAKE

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Whisk together the soup, broth, rice, garlic powder, dried chives, and onion powder. Transfer to the prepared dish.
- Pat the pork chops dry; place on top of the rice. Sprinkle onion soup mix over the pork chops, to taste. If you don't like a strong onion flavor or if you don't want the chops too salty, use just a portion of the seasoning (not the whole packet).
- Cover dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Check the pork chops at this point. If they are done (and have reached an internal temperature of 145°F), remove them from the dish, cover with foil, and set aside to rest. Give the rice a stir. The rice will not be tender yet, so cover the dish again and return to the oven for about 25-30 more minutes, or just until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve with the pork chops. Garnish with herbs, if desired.

- Sprinkle pork chops with pepper. In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, cook pork over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Remove and keep warm. , Add the water, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce to skillet; stir to loosen browned bits. Bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth; stir into skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. , Return chops to the pan. SWEET PORK CHOP OR LOIN CASSEROLE
I adopted this recipe concept from this site- but, I think I changed it so much , it would be unrecognizable. My family loves it too and I love this recipe because, it's quick and easy. I like the addition of the cinnamon,nutmeg and orange juice with the sweet potatoes.

- 1. Casserole: Cook chops in skillet until brown on both sides. Place in ungreased 9x13-inch baking dish; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Combine soup mix , water,orange juice, sugar and spices. Mix well. Pour over chops.Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 375^. Arrange potatoes around chops. Spoon juice from pan over chops and potatoes. Top each chop with orange and apple slices. --- Topper: Mix baking mix and the orange juice; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Drop dough by 12 Tablespoons onto chops and potatoes. Bake uncovered until biscuits are light brown, 20-25 minutes. Spoon juice from pan over each serving.

- Heat your slow cooker. Drizzle the oil in a wide frying pan over a high heat. Season the pork, then add to the hot pan. Avoid overcrowding the meat - you may want to do this in batches. Cook until deep brown all over, then transfer to the slow cooker. Add the onion and leeks to the frying pan and cook for a few mins, until they soften. Add a splash of water and scrape any tasty bits from the bottom, then tip everything into the slow cooker. Add the carrot, herbs, stock cube, mustard and vinegar, season, then add enough water to just cover the ingredients. Stir, then set your slow cooker on low for 6-8 hrs, or high for 5-6 hrs.
- In a saucepan, mix the cornflour and honey with 1-2 tsp of liquid from the slow cooker, until you have a smooth paste. Add 100ml more liquid, bring to a simmer until thickened, then stir back into the casserole. Serve with mash or dumplings, scattered with thyme leaves.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper to taste, and arrange in a medium oven safe skillet. Top pork chops with onions, sweet potatoes, and apples. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Season with 2 teaspoons pepper and 1 teaspoon salt.

- Preheat the oven to 400° and have ready a greased 9x13" casserole dish. In a small bowl, stir together Panko bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Set aside until ready to use.
- Place a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onions, potatoes, cream, 2 teaspoons Kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to maintain a simmer and cook for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
