1-1/2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups ice cubes
2 cans (8 ounces each) unsweetened crushed pineapple
1/4 cup sugar

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor; cover and process until smooth. Pour into glasses; serve immediately.

3 cups frozen pineapple (or fresh, peeled and cubed)
1/2 banana
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup milk (or almond milk or oat milk)*
5 ice cubes
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice (or lemon juice)

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients except 1 cup frozen pineapple in a blender. Blend until smooth, stopping and stirring as necessary.
  • Add the final cup of frozen pineapple and blend again. Eat immediately or store in a sealed jar for 1 day.

Pineapple smoothies are fresh and refreshing any time of year, but especially in the hot summer months. This super simple recipe is bursting with flavor from the tropical fruit.

4 cups ice
1 cup freshly cut pineapple
1 large banana
1/3 cup limeade
Sliced pineapple, for garnish

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Peel, core, and cut the fresh pineapple . Make sure to chop the pineapple into smaller chunks before adding it to the blender.
  • Choose a banana that is ripe, but not browning. Break it up into about 4 pieces.
  • Place the ice, pineapple chunks, banana pieces, and limeade in a high powered blender that can handle crushing frozen ingredients.
  • Pulse and crush until it is completely blended and very smooth. If it is too thick, slowly add more limeade or juice until it's at your desired consistency.
  • Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and garnish with sliced pineapple.
