SWEET AND SPICY SLOPPY JOES
These sandwiches have been the go-to meal for my son's basketball team. Turkey is a wonderful change from ground beef and really absorbs all the flavors. I have also used this for a Friday the 13th celebration at work, calling it 13-ingredient sloppy joes. -Karen Hildebrand, LaBelle, Florida

HOT AND SPICY SLOPPY JOES
Spicy!!!! Crock pot recipe! Yes! There is no reason you can't make these stove top. Just simmer till flavors meld and meat is tender. I also puree an optional carrot and red bell pepper for sweetness and extra nutrients for the family

TANGY SLOPPY JOES
"I first tasted this recipe at a rehearsal dinner for a church Christmas program about 20 years ago," writes Sharon De Roos of Elgin, Illinois. "It's the best sloppy joe mix that I have ever had and I receive many compliments, and of course, requests for the recipe!"

QUICK TANGY SLOPPY JOES
I adjusted three different recipes to come up with this one. Kids like the tangy taste and request the sandwiches for birthday parties.-Anna Adams, Chatsworth, California

Steps:
- 1) Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add Ground Beef, bell pepper and onion; cook 8 to 10 minutes, breaking beef into 3/4-inch crumbles and stirring occasionally. Remove drippings. 2) Stir in tomato sauce, water, raisins, ancho chili powder and oregano; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered, 15 to 18 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. 3) Evenly divide beef mixture on bottom half of each bun. Garnish with toppings, as desired; close sandwiches. Cooking times are for fresh or thoroughly thawed Ground Beef. Ground Beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160F. Color is not a reliable indicator of Ground Beef doneness.
BEST EVER SLOPPY JOES
These really are the best ever sloppy joes! Sassy, tangy, sweet and spicy with a great balance of flavors. Plus, this is a quick 'n easy one dish meal (don't mind the long list of ingredients, it really goes together quickly, I promise). The veggies get "sneaked in" & they contribute mellow depth of flavor, while providing valuable health benefits to your family (and nobody will be the wiser!). :) Serve hot on a warmed hamburger bun (we like soft potato buns) with or without shredded cheese, and a pickle spear on the side is good. YUM! I like to make a double batch, one for now and one for later because leftovers are super fabulous the next day (and it freezes beautifully, as well). Hope you enjoy as much as we do!! :)

Steps:
- Preheat a large Dutch oven or saucepan over low heat. Now add the fat to the pan and when melted add the ground beef, celery, onion, carrots, and potato. Cook and stir over medium to medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink; now add the bell peppers and cook until the peppers are softened.
- Add seasonings and remaining ingredients and stir well. Cover the pan, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring every five minutes or so until done to your liking (if Joes are too 'loose' uncover your pan and cook uncovered until the consistency you like).
- Serve on a warmed hamburger bun with or without shredded cheddar cheese.
