Ingredients

1 cup hot water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups fresh lemon juice
Wheat beer or lager, for serving

Steps:

To a pitcher, add the hot water and sugar and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the lemon juice and 3 cups cold water and stir to combine. Freeze into ice cubes.
To serve: fill each glass with lemonade ice cubes. Tilt the glasses, fill with beer and serve.

1/2 cup chilled lemonade

Steps:

Sprinkle yellow sugar on small plate. Moisten rims of 2 glasses with lemon wedge, then dip rims into sugar.
Add 3/4 cup beer and 1/4 cup lemonade to each glass; stir. Serve immediately.
