Strawberry Vodka Slush Food

VODKA SLUSHY RECIPE

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients in a blender, cover and blend until combined. Divide slushy between four glasses and garnish (if desired) with an orange slice. Serve and enjoy!Note: If you want things on the thicker side, use 1/2 cup of cold water. Add more if you want things looser or thinner.

STRAWBERRY VODKA SLUSH

Steps:

• Wash, hull and freeze strawberries. I always freeze the fruits my kids don't eat throughout the week and use for these type of recipes.
• Squeeze 1 cup worth of lemon juice from about 4 lemons.
• Place frozen berries into blender with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth.
• Serve in 2 glasses and garnish with a slice of lime and a strawberry.
• Optional to add an extra ounce of vodka to float on top of each drink before serving. Try it with a dollop of whipped cream!

BRENDA'S STRAWBERRY SLUSH DELIGHT

Steps:

• In a saucepan, dissolve the sugar in the water by bringing it to a boil over medium-high heat. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool.
• Combine the sugar water with the pineapple juice, lemonade, orange juice and pureed strawberries in a 6-quart container. Mix in the rum to taste. Put the entire mixture into a large plastic ice cream pail and freeze overnight.
• To make the drinks to order, scoop 1/2 cup of the frozen mixture into an 8 oz glass. Fill the glass with lemon-lime soda and serve with a straw. Keeps well in freezer for up to one month.

STRAWBERRY SLUSH

Steps:

• Bring a large pot of water and sugar to boil. Cool. Stir in daiquiri mix, vodka, orange juice and strawberries. Transfer mixture to a freezer-safe container, and freeze until mixture is to your desired consistency.
• To serve: Pour into a chilled glass, approximately 2/3 cup of the slush mixture and 1/3 cup of lemon-lime soda. Delicious.
