Whenever my roommates and I go out to dinner, we usually end up at Houlihan's and ordering at least two basil lemonades each. I absolutely love the crisp, fruity, and tangy taste, and these drinks definitely get us pumped for a night out on the town! I have searched all over for a recipe that mocks or even resembles these drinks and this is what I found. Enjoy :]

Ingredients

3 large basil leaves
1 1/2 ounces strawberry vodka
1 ounce strawberry, pureed
5/8 cup lemonade

Steps:

Mix vodka and puree in a mixing glass or martini shaker.
Add ice, and shake for 15 seconds and pour into a glass.
Fill with lemonade and stir.
Add basil leaves and enjoy!

3/4 cup packed fresh basil leaves
Juice from 2 large lemons (about 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice)
1/2 cup agave or honey
8 medium fresh or frozen strawberries, thawed and sliced
One 750ml bottle Prosecco, chilled
1/2 cup soda water or sparkling water, chilled

Steps:

Combine the basil, lemon juice and agave in a pitcher. Using a wooden spoon, lightly crush the basil. Stir in the strawberries, Prosecco and soda water. Pour into chilled champagne glasses and serve.

2 quarts lemonade (I like Simply Lemonade)
2 pints strawberries, hulled and sliced
12 basil leaves
3 cups citrus-infused vodka

Steps:

Combine lemonade, strawberries, and basil leaves in a small container, stirring well.
Add vodka.
Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
To serve, remove basil leaves (if they're too wilted), and serve with ice and fresh basil leaves.

Run the cooked strawberries mix through a strainer or food mill, then discard solids. Set aside until strawberry lemonade concentrate is room temperature. Refrigerate until ready to use.
To make lemonade, pour lemonade concentrate, 5-6 cups of water, sliced strawberries, fresh basil leaves into a tumbler. Stir to mix. Pour ice just before serving.
