Strawberry Basil Iced Tea Food

STRAWBERRY BASIL ICED TEA

Steps:

• Brew tea for 5 to 8 minutes in 4 of boiling water (off heat).
• Remove the tea bags.
• Separately boil1 cup of water and add sugar and 1 cup of basil leaves, brew covered (off heat) for 10 minutes.
• Remove the basil and add chopped strawberries and let it chill in the fridge.
• Add the basil strawberry syrup to the cool or cold brewed tea.
• Serve in glasses with ice and enjoy!.

STRAWBERRY-BASIL ICED TEA

Steps:

• Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add tea bags, and let steep for 5 minutes.
• Place strawberries in a bowl. Bring water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, add basil, and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain over strawberries; discard basil. Toss to coat. Let stand until cool, about 25 minutes. Combine strawberries (with syrup) and tea in a pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice, and garnish with basil.

STRAWBERRY BASIL ICED TEA

Steps:

• Bring 4 cups of water to boil. Transfer to a heat safe bowl.
• add in the fresh strawberries, basil and sugar.
• Stir until sugar dissolves and let sit for 5 minutes.
• Add in the tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes.
• Pass the tea through a sieve removing the bulk strawberries and basil. be sure to press the strawberries into the sieve.
• Add in 3 cups of cold water. Taste the tea and adjust sweetness to desired taste.
• Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
• Serve chilled tea over ice. Add in sliced strawberries and basil.
• Enjoy!

REFRESHING STRAWBERRY ICED TEA

Steps:

• Take 5 strawberries out of the bag and set aside.
• With the remaining berries, blend in a blender or food processor until smooth.
• Strain the pureed berries, discard seeds.
• Mix together pureed strawberries, tea, lemon juice, and desired amount of sugar.
• Chill until ready to serve.
• Serve with ice and reserved berries as garnishes.
