A 'spiked' version of the traditional hot cider - great for fall or holiday gatherings. This can be made in large quantities and kept warm in an electric coffee server.

- Pour water into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and toss in the orange spice tea bags. Cover and let steep 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in sugar, apple cider, rum, and 2 of the cinnamon sticks. Heat just to steaming -- do not boil.
- Ladle hot cider into 6 mugs and drop 1/2 teaspoon butter into each. Garnish with a cinnamon "swizzle" stick.

- Combine the water, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan.
- Place over medium-high heat, and allow to cook until the sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
- As soon as the sugar is dissolved, turn off the heat and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.
- When the simple syrup is cool, strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container, cover, and store in the fridge until ready to use.
- Place two mugs in the freezer about an hour before you'd like to serve the floats.
- Place 2-3 scoops of vanilla ice cream in each mug, depending on how much ice cream you like.
- In a small pitcher or cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider, cinnamon simple syrup, applejack, and bourbon. Shake to combine.
- Pour the apple cider over top of ice cream in the mugs.
- Optional: Garnish with a cinnamon stick. And serve with a straw and a spoon.
- Enjoy!

- Pour enough cider to fill crock pot to ¾ full. Add brown sugar. Stick whole cloves into skin of orange and apple wedges. Place apple, orange and all remaining ingredients into cheese cloth, tie with string and drop into crock pot. Bring to a boil, about 2 to 2 ½ hours on high.
