Steps:
- Heat the oil in a Dutch oven or large soup pot over medium heat. Add the garlic, onions, bell peppers, carrots, celery, and sweet potato. Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes, until soft.
- Add the turkey and cook until browned, 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often to break up the chunks.
- Once the meat is browned, add 1 1/2 cups water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes in their juices, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a moderate bubble. Let cook, uncovered, until the chili thickens, about 45 minutes, stirring every so often so that the chili does not stick to the bottom. If the chili becomes too thick, add a little water to reach your desired consistency.
- Toward the end of the cooking time, taste and adjust the seasonings as desired. Add more cayenne pepper for an extra kick and more salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot with desired toppings.

- Place oil in a large pot and place over medium high heat. Add in onion, garlic and red pepper and saute for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add in ground turkey and break up the meat; cooking until no longer pink. Next add in chili powder, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper and salt; stir for about 20 seconds.
- Next add in tomatoes, chicken broth, kidney beans and corn. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes or until chili thickens and flavors come together. Taste and adjust seasonings and salt as necessary.
- Garnish with anything you'd like. Makes 6 servings, about 1 1/2 cups each.

- Brown ground turkey and drain fat. Add diced onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, kidney beans, beer, water, chili powder, cumin, garlic and salt. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 2 to 3 hours. For an extra punch, add a garlic clove and another tablespoon of chili powder and allow to simmer five more minutes before serving.

SPICY ONE-POT-MEAL TURKEY CHILI
This is one of my original recipes. I love it because it uses few dishes and I find the chopping of the vegetables relieves stress after a long day of work. This is a great one dish meal. It's nutritionally balanced and so healthy for you. I really hope you enjoy it.

Steps:
- Heat stock pot.
- Add canola oil and saute the onion and sweet potato until onions are soft.
- Add garlic and saute for another minute or two being careful not to burn it.
- Add turkey, chili powder, ground red pepper, ground black pepper, smoked paprika, cumin and salt. Cook until turkey is cooked through stirring occasionally.
- Dump in entire contents of canned goods. I like to rinse the cans with a little water and add that water to the pot.
- Add oregano.
- Simmer over medium heat.
- Add corn and continue to simmer soup until sweet potato is fully cooked.
- Serve and enjoy!
- * Excellent served with any of the following: low-fat shredded cheddar cheese, low-fat sour cream, tortilla chips (baked for less calories), and my favorite fresh cilantro.

I looked at the top 5 recipes on this site, combined my favorite ingredients from each, plus a few of my own (Sriracha®/adobe sauce) and...ta-da! A meaty, spicy, flavorful, turkey chili! You can quickly cook up the turkey and combine ingredients in slow cooker, throw in the fridge, and take it out to cook on low before you go to work - works perfectly, easy peasy! - Roughly chop the onions, bell pepper, and garlic and place in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade.
