SPICY PARTY PRETZELS

Spicy Party Pretzels image

A pick me up to regular pretzels...Spicy Party Pretzels. They are a great party snack and you can make it as spciy, or mild, as you like.

Provided by Deborah

Categories     snack

Yield . A PARTY

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 Bag Regular Pretzels ((or the butter kind if you prefer))
4 Tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
6 Ounces Popcorn Oil
1/2 Tsp Dill Weed
1/2 Tbsp Cayanne Pepper (start with less if you are worried about spice)
1/2 Tbsp Garlic Salt

Steps:

  • Combine the ranch mix and spices in a large bowl. Then add oil to that mixture. SALVAGE TIP - After the oil has been added, take the measuring cup and turn it over onto the baking sheet. This will let any residual oil in the cup fall onto the baking sheet to reduce waste.
  • Add pretzels to the bowl and stir with a large rubber spatula until pretzels are completely coated.
  • Spread pretzels over a baking sheet. Take rubber spatula and scrap out any oil and spices to pour over the pretzels. **Taste a pretzel before you bake them. They will be better when warm and the spices will adhere better however you will want to test the spices to see if you want anything more.
  • Bake at 200 degrees for an hour and a half - stirring every 30 minutes. If you are baking a double batch, make sure to rotate pans after the second 30 minute stir.

SUPER BOWL SPICY PRETZELS

Super Bowl Spicy Pretzels image

After trying a bunch of different tries at making spicy pretzels I finally came up this one. It goes great as a tv snack, and the heat at the end really finishes well, enjoy!

Provided by Craigs Recipes

Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 2h5m

Yield 30 bowls, 30 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 (15 ounce) bags old dutch thins fat free pretzels
1/2 cup vegetable oil or 1/2 cup canola oil
4 teaspoons garlic powder
4 teaspoons lemon pepper
2 (1 ounce) packages hidden valley ranch dressing mix
4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat Oven at 250º.
  • Get your basic turkey roaster pan and spray the inside with no-stick cooking spray.
  • Grab handfuls of pretzels and place them evenly in the roaster, try to avoid dumping in all the excess salt and broken pieces on the bottom of the bag.
  • Hand mix together all other ingredients in a seperate bowl until all ingredients are mixed up really well.
  • Pour this mixture evenly over the pretzels in the pan.
  • Place the lid on and grasp the handles and lid tight and shake the pretzels so that they all are evenly coated.
  • Place in the oven for 2 hours, stirring and shaking every 30 minutes.
  • Make sure you stir up the pretzels on the bottom of the pan otherwise they will get burnt. When they are done cooking, I usually set the roaster out and let them cool for 15-20 minutes. After that I place them in a large bowl for serving.
