This recipe features a crispy layer of bread crumbs combined with spicy and sweet peppers on top of perfectly baked shrimp with a garlicky kick.

1 1/2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
6 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 teaspoon old bay seasoning
Fresh cracked black pepper
3 tablespoons dry white sherry or white wine
1 serrano pepper, thinly sliced
2 sweet mini peppers, thinly sliced
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
Fresh parsley leaves for garnishing (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Place prepared shrimp in a large mixing bowl. Add garlic, old bay seasoning, ground black pepper, and wine. Toss to mix well. Set aside.
  • Chop serrano pepper and sweet mini pepper.
  • Melt butter in a microwave, then add bread crumb into the butter, followed by sliced peppers. Season with salt, brown sugar and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well.
  • In a large baking dish, arrange shrimp in a single layer. Place the bread crumb mixture on top of the shrimp, making sure the shrimp is covered.
  • Bake for 7 minutes, then set the oven to broil. Broil on high for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turns pink and the bread crumbs are slightly brown and crispy.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan
4 cloves garlic, crushed away from skin
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
24 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails in tact, ask for easy peels at your fish counter
2 teaspoons grill or steak seasoning blend (recommended: Montreal Seasoning by McCormick) or coarse salt and pepper
1 lemon, zested and juiced
2 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves, a handful

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan, garlic, red pepper flakes and shrimp. Season with grill seasoning or salt and pepper and cook shrimp 3 minutes or until just pink. Toss with lemon zest, juice and chopped parsley. Remove shrimp to a serving platter leaving the garlic cloves in the pan.

1 pound uncooked medium shrimp
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup white wine

Steps:

  • Peel and devein shrimp, leaving tails on., In a large skillet over medium heat, cook garlic and pepper flakes in butter for 1 minute. Add shrimp; cook and stir until shrimp turn pink. Remove from the pan and set aside. Add wine to the pan; cook until liquid is reduced by half. Return shrimp to skillet; heat through.

This is one of my diet recipes that I found while on Weight Watchers. I saw that there is a 1-point recipe but, this is 4 points and well-worth the extra 3 points!!!

4 garlic cloves
3 tablespoons white wine or 3 tablespoons nonalcoholic white wine
2 tablespoons fat-free chicken broth
4 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 lb frozen peeled and deveined medium- large shrimp, thawed
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 teaspoon cornstarch

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the garlic, wine, broth, oil, salt, and red-pepper flakes. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Set aside to marinate for 5 minutes.
  • Coat a large nonstick skillet with nonstick spray and warm over medium high heat. Add the bell bell pepper and cook for 1 minute to soften slightly. Add the shrimp and all but 1 tablespoon of the marinade. Cook for 2 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink on the bottom. Turn the shrimp over and cook for 1 to 2 minutes longer, or until the shrimp are opaque.
  • In a cup, dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining 1 tablespoon marinade. Push the shrimp to the side of the pan and stir the cornstarch into the sauce is slightly thickened. Mix with the shrimp and serve immediately.

2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 tablespoon minced garlic
8 large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons sliced onions
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over high heat. Add cabbage and 1 tablespoon water and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Remove cabbage from skillet and place on a serving platter.
  • Heat the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons oil in the skillet over high heat. Place the garlic and shrimp in the skillet and stir until garlic is lightly browned and shrimp turns pink. Add pepper, onion, cilantro, soy sauce and remaining water to the skillet.
  • Stir-fry for 10 seconds.
  • Pour the hot mixture onto the cabbage.

Recipe is originally from the Food Network courtesy of Rachael Ray, but I tweaked it to fit our tastes. Very quick & easy shrimp recipe that's done on the stovetop. If your tastes desire spicy & garlic, then this recipe is just for you.

12 shrimp (Jumbo sized, peeled, deveined, & tails intact)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves (crushed with the side of a knife)
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon steak seasoning (Montreal Seasoning by McCormick is recommended)
1 teaspoon lemon, zest of
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
  • Add olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and shrimp.
  • Season with grill seasoning or salt & pepper.
  • Cook shrimp 3 minutes or until just pink.
  • Toss with lemon zest, juice, & chopped parsley.
