- Combine cranberry juice, soda and orange juice in a large punch bowl. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours.

CRANBERRY ORANGE GINGER PUNCH
Cranberry Orange Ginger Ale Punch is a traditional part of holiday celebrations. With fresh orange juice and real ginger, this version is sure to impress your guests.

Steps:
- Add the ginger, unsweetened cranberry juice, orange juice, lime slices, orange slices, and cranberries to a large non-reactive bowl and gently press with a potato masher or wooden spoon to release the juices. Stir to combine and place in the refrigerator to chill for a few hours.
- Remove from refrigerator and strain to remove solids, squeezing out excess liquid from the sliced fruit in the process. Discard solids and transfer remaining liquid to a large pitcher or punch bowl.
- Add chilled club soda (and vodka, if using) and stir to combine. Taste and stir in the honey to sweeten, if desired.
- Serve immediately over ice and garnish with extra cranberries or orange slices, if desired. Enjoy!

- Fill cup with crushed ice
- Pour 2 oz of Orange Juice, 2 oz of Cranberry Juice and 2 oz Vanilla Orange Cranberry Simple Syrup over ice.
- Top with the DASANI Sparkling Water
- Add orange and lime slices, fresh mint and candied cranberries for garnish, serve and enjoy!
- **To make the Vanilla Orange Cranberry Simple Syrup:
- Combine 2 ½ cups of sugar, water, vanilla, and orange juice in a sauce pan. Heat over medium until the sugar has completely dissolved-but not boiling.
- Pour in the cranberries and stir, take off the heat. The hot syrup will loosen the skin, saturate the berries and adhere to the berries over time.
- Cover the cranberries with a small plate to keep them mostly submerged. Then cover the pan and place it in the refrigerator over night.
- Place the remaining cup of sugar in a shallow dish. Strain the cranberries and place them in the sugar. Shake until they are completely coated.
- Carefully transfer them to a baking sheet to dry-about an hour. Once the sugar coating is hard place in an air-tight container and keep in a cool spot for up to one week.
- Strain and reserve the Vanilla Orange Cranberry Simple Syrup for your Cranberry Orange Punch

- Place a sugar cube in the bottom of each 8 to 10 chilled champagne flutes.
- Pour 2 tablespoons cranberry juice into each glass.
- Fill each glass with white grape juice.
- Thread several cranberries onto skewer or toothpick and garnish each glass.

There are a couple of other sparkling cranberry punch recipes here on zarr, but nothing at all like this one from *River Road Recipes* originally published by the Junior League of Baton Rouge in 1959. By 1980 the combined sales of RRR & RRR II (A 2nd Helping) had earned $1,000,000 for their community trust fund. I thought that was pretty awesome! I modified the recipe slightly to include 1/4 cup additional water + 1/4 cup dried cranberries. (Time has been estimated & does not include time to cool & then be well-chilled under refrigeration). *Enjoy*

- Empty can of jellied cranberry sauce into a 2-qt saucepan. Over med-heat setting, add water & beat w/an immersion blender or hand-held mixer till sauce is melted.
- Add sugar & cont cooking till sugar is dissolved, stirring as needed. Add dried cranberries & set mixture aside to cool. Then refrigerate till well-chilled.
- When chilled, add lemon juice, extract & 1 cup of ginger ale.
- Just before serving, add remaining 1/2 cup ginger ale & serve in frosted glasses. Garnish w/mint &/or clove-studded lemon slices as desired.

- 1. Combine cranberry juice, pineapple juice, orange juice and dry cool-aid mix. Add sugar to taste, mix well or till sugar melts. Chill until ready to serve, pour into punch bowl over ice ring and add one of the bottles of ginger ale.Refresh with chilled ginger ale as needed.
- 2. This recipe, minus the soda, may be frozen until ready to serve. This punch is best when ice cold and slightly slushy.
- 3. A simple but elegant ice ring can be made by adding a single layer of oranges in a bundt pan or angel food pan.* OR * You can continue adding to it : Pour about an inch of ice cold water over the oranges. Freeze till firm. Then add a layer of cranberries and mint leaves to form bunches, around the ring. Add about a 1/2 inch layer of ice cold water and freeze till firm, repeat two more layers. (use ice cold water so the finished ring is clear and not cloudy )

This is a yummy punch with a little kick! We served this at our cookie exchange and it was a big hit. Be sure and add the sparkling wine at the end so you don't lose too many bubbles.
