1/4 cup margarine
16 ounces marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups Rice Krispies (generic works fine)

Steps:

  • Melt margarine in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Melt in marshmallows and stir continuously until smooth.
  • Add vanilla (be careful it doesn't splash on you).
  • Without removing from heat, add cereal. Stir until cereal is completely covered with marshmallow mixture.
  • Pour into a greased (spray Pam works great) 9x13 pan. Let cool 2 minutes. Press flat with greased hands. Cool completely and cut into squares. Enjoy!

4-5 Tbs Butter
6 Cups Gluten Free Rice Krispies, Kelloggs Rice Krispies are NOT Gluten Free in post that are.
4 Cups Mini Marshmallows
Gluten Free Sprinkles, optional

Steps:

  • Measure 6 cups of gluten free Rice Krispies into a medium bowl and put off to the side.
  • In a large microwave safe bowl, melt 4-5 Tablespoons of Butter on high for about 1 minute, just until it is melted.
  • Once the butter has melted, add 4 heaping cups of mini marshmallows to the bowl and stir to coat with a silicone spatula.
  • Microwave on high in 30 second intervals stirring each time until the marshmallows and butter are totally incorporated into each other. The mixture should be smooth.
  • Quickly fold the Rice Krispies into the marshmallow mixture and spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Add sprinkles, if desired.
  • Chill for 15 minutes for the treats to set up. Then remove from fridge, cut into squares and store covered at room temperature.

10 cups kellogg's gluten-free crisp rice cereal (Rice Krispies)
16 tablespoons fleischmann's unsalted margarine
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
20 ounces miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Line a 13x9" baking pan with aluminum foil, spray with cooking spray; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, measure 10 cups cereal; set aside.
  • In a heavy-bottomed large pot, melt margarine over medium-low heat, stirring continuously. As soon as the margarine begins to turn brown, remove pan from heat and quickly stir in marshmallows. Combine marshmallows and margarine, then return pan to stove for about 2 minutes, or just until melted and almost smooth.
  • Stir cereal into melted marshmallow mixture and quickly toss to coat. Spread mixture into prepared pan and use a greased spatula to press firmly and evenly in pan. Allow Treats to set at room temperature for two hours before slicing and serving. Store Treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
