TWO-INGREDIENT SODA CAKE

Steps:

• Coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
• In a large bowl combine both ingredients. Mix with an electric mixer until just combined. Pour into prepared pan and bake according to cake mix package directions. Frost with desired frosting.

TWO-INGREDIENT SODA POP CUPCAKES

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F. Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
• In large bowl, beat dry cake mix and carbonated beverage with electric mixer on low speed 1 minute, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping side of bowl. Divide batter among cups.
• Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove to cooling rack to cool completely, about 1 hour. If desired, frost with Betty Crocker™ frosting.

AUNT TC'S LEMON-LIME SODA CAKE

Steps:

• For the cake: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Generously grease and flour a fluted 10- to 12-cup Bundt pan.
• Beat the granulated sugar and butter together in a bowl with an electric mixer until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the flour 1 cup at a time, blending well after each addition, until the batter is smooth; stir in the lemon extract. Mix the lemon-lime soda into the batter and pour into the prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, about 1 hour 15 minutes.
• For the glaze: Beat the confectioners' sugar, milk, lemon-lime soda and extracts together in a bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until the glaze is smooth.
• Pierce holes in the cake with a skewer. Pour 1/4 cup glaze over the cake. Flip the cake onto a serving plate to remove from the pan, then pour the remaining glaze on top. The cake can be served immediately, but tastes even better the longer it sits.

SODA POP STRAWBERRY ANGEL FOOD CAKE

Steps:

• Prepare cake mix according to package directions, except substitute 1 1/4 cups soda pop and honey for the water. Bake as directed. Remove from oven and set upside-down until cooled.
• Meanwhile to prepare glaze, combine melted margarine, powdered sugar, remaining soda pop, and food coloring in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and drizzling consistency. Spread top of cooled cake.

DIET SODA CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat your oven to whatever is listed on your cake mix.
• Make sure you spray your pan with cooking spray. (You can use 13 x 9, make cupcakes or I even made a bundt cake with this recipe)
• Mix dry cake mix, diet soda and egg whites until fully combined. Spread batter into desired pan.
• Bake according to your cake mix directions on the package.

SODA-POP CAKE

Steps:

• Mix cake, pop and eggs as directed on cake mix.
• Add food coloring to deepen color if wanted.
• Pour into a greased and floured 9x13-inch pan.
• Bake at 350º for 25 to 30 minutes, or until done.

CHOCOLATE SODA CAKE

Steps:

• Mix dry cake mix with soda. Don't pay any attention to adding oil, egg, etc.
• Pour into floured cake pans, Bundt pan, muffin tins, etc.
• Bake according to directions on box.

SODA CAKE

Steps:

• Combine the cake mix and soda, then bake according to the cake mix baking instructions (do not add the additional ingredients on the box--just the soda). Recommended combinations: spice cake and ginger ale, vanilla cake and orange soda and chocolate cake and cherry soda.

CREAM SODA CAKE RECIPE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
• In a large mixing bowl, mix together 1 yellowcake mix, 4 eggs, 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix and 1 can cream soda.
• Stir until thoroughly mixed together and the dry ingredients have been fully incorporated.
• Prepare a greased baking pan. Pour the cake mix into the pan and bake at 350F degrees for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Set aside to cool.
• In a small mixing bowl, mix together 1 ½ cups confectioner's sugar, and 1 tbsp cream soda. Stir until well combined and a thick glaze is formed. If the glaze is too thick to drizzle, add a few more drops of cream soda and continue stirring until the glaze thins out a bit.
• When the desired consistency is reached, use a fork or spoon to drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake. Serve fresh and enjoy!
