- In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 5 ingredients. Cook, covered, on low until vegetables are tender, about 4 hours., Grill sausages according to package directions. Serve on buns with sauce. - Heat up the oil in a skillet over medium heat
- Add the garlic, onion, and peppers to the skillet and cook, stirring as needed, until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add sausages, and cook about 4 minutes more until sausages begin to brown.
- In a slow cooker add the tomatoes, Chianti wine, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix it together.
- Add the sausage and peppers to the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for about 6-8 hours.
- Open up a sausage roll, place 2 slices of provolone on the roll.
- Add a sausage and some the peppers to the sandwich.

- Combine the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, bay leaves and parmesan rind in a 6-quart slow cooker. Add 1 cup water, 1/4 cup parsley, 2 chopped garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper.
- Combine the breadcrumbs and milk in a medium bowl; soak 2 minutes. In a separate bowl, combine the beef, eggs, 1 cup parmesan, the remaining 1/4 cup parsley and 2 chopped garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Add the breadcrumb-milk mixture and mix with your hands until combined. With damp hands, shape into 24 meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches each; transfer to the slow cooker.

- In a large skillet on the stove-top brown the sausage links on all sides. The sausages do not need to be cooked through just browned. You may skip this step, however, browning the sausages adds additional flavor to the dish.
- Remove the sausages from the skillet using tongs and transfer them to a 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
- Add the peppers and onions to the top of the sausages.

- Place pork chops and sausage in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker. Place tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic and pepper flakes in a food processor; pulse until chunky. Pour over meats.
