Here's what you need: potato, onion, chicken broth, salt, pepper, butter, flour, heavy cream, sour cream, shredded cheese, bacon, scallion

4 cups potato, peeled and chopped
¾ cup onion
4 cups chicken broth
½ tablespoon salt
½ tablespoon pepper
4 tablespoons butter
¼ cup flour
1 ½ cups heavy cream
¼ cup sour cream
shredded cheese, to taste
bacon, to taste
scallion, chopped

Steps:

  • Add the potatoes, onions, chicken broth, salt and pepper to the slow cooker.
  • Set it to low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • In a saucepan, combine the butter, flour, heavy cream and sour cream. Whisk until thickened.
  • When the slow cooker is done, pour in the thickened mix. Stir, cover and set the slow cooker to low for another 30 minutes.
  • Serve with shredded cheese, bacon and chopped scallions.
  • Enjoy!

8 medium potatoes
1 cup ham, diced
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups butter (may be reduced to 1 cup)
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups water
2 cups milk (warm milk works best, see directions)

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients except the milk into a slow cooker for 4-6 hours on low.
  • Add warm milk 30 minutes before serving. Cold milk will stop the cooking process and delay meal. Do not add sooner because the milk may curdle.
  • To thicken soup, add instant potato flakes to taste. You may use potato pearls but you will have to stir the soup a lot more to get the pearls to desolve.

8 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
2 cubes chicken bouillon
2 tablespoons dried parsley
6 cups water
2 cups milk
½ cup all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Place the potatoes, onion, butter, chicken bouillon cubes, parsley and water into a slow cooker. Set on low and let cook for 6 to 8 hours.
  • At least half an hour before serving, stir together the milk and flour until no lumps remain, and mix into the soup. Cook for 30 minutes or until the soup is thickened.

8 cups yukon gold potatoes, diced
3/4 cup carrot, diced
3/4 cup celery, diced
1/2 cup sweet onion, diced
3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 (10 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • In a large slow cooker, combine all ingredients except for the cream cheese and flour.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours or until potatoes are done.
  • About an hour before you serve the soup, add the cream cheese, stirring well until melted.
  • After cream cheese is melted, take out about 2 cups of the soup broth and pour into a medium bowl; add the flour and whisk until smooth and no lumps remain.
  • Pour the 2 cups of soup broth back into the crock pot and stir to combine.
  • Replace lid and cook for about 30 minutes more.

2 medium onions, diced

2 celery ribs, thinly sliced
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans fat-free low-sodium chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups fat-free half-and-half

Steps:

  • Combine first 8 ingredients in a 4 1/2 quart slow cooker.
  • Cook, covered, at high 5-6 hours or until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir together flour and half-and-half; stir into soup.
  • Cover and cook 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

Steps:

  • Place potatoes, soups and 1 soup can full of water into a slow cooker; heat on high setting until potatoes are tender, about 2-3 hours. Add 1 soup can full of milk and enough instant mashed potatoes to reach desired consistency, stirring constantly.
  • Heat 2-3 hours longer; spoon into bowls to serve. Top with garnishes.
