1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 lbs fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
garlic powder (to taste)
black pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Melt butter over medium heat in a large pan.
  • Add garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add sliced mushrooms, stir to coat, and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Drizzle soy sauce into the mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper.
  • Continue cooking over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until desired doneness is achieved.
  • Remove from pan and serve.

1 pint fresh mushrooms, sliced or 8 ounces canned mushroom slices, drained
1 -2 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt
fresh ground black pepper
feta cheese

Steps:

  • Melt butter and olive oil together.
  • Sauté mushrooms and garlic a couple minutes then add spinach and sauté until just wilted and tender.
  • Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Garnish with crumbled feta cheese just before serving.

3 tablespoons butter
1 pound button mushrooms, sliced
1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon red cooking wine
1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce, or more to taste
¼ teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir mushrooms, garlic, cooking wine, teriyaki sauce, garlic salt, and black pepper in the hot oil and butter until mushrooms are lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and simmer until mushrooms are tender, 5 to 8 more minutes.

1 tablespoon olive oil
16 ounces white, cremini, or baby bella mushrooms, washed and cut in half ((quartered if very large))
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons unsalted butter ((see note))
½ to 1 tablespoon minced garlic, to taste (2-4 medium-sized cloves)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a large sauté pan (large enough so that mushrooms will fit in a single layer), heat olive oil over medium-high heat. When pan is hot, add mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Quickly toss to coat mushrooms with the oil and then spread them into a single layer.
  • Cook for four minutes on medium-high heat without stirring. Stir once, trying to flip to brown both sides; cook for 2 more minutes without stirring.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and add butter and garlic. Cook for 3-4 more minutes, stirring frequently, until mushrooms are fully cooked, butter is melted, and garlic is fragrant.
  • Remove from heat, stir in parsley and serve immediately.

1 pound white mushrooms
3 garlic cloves, minced or finely chopped
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon fresh parsley
Pinch of salt and black pepper

Steps:

  • Wash your mushrooms and using a paper or hand towel, pat them completely dry.
  • Heat up olive oil in a large heavy bottomed skillet over high heat. Add garlic and sauté for one minute, ensuring you don't burn the garlic.
  • Add the cleaned mushrooms to the skillet. Do NOT stir the mushrooms. Sear for 2-3 minutes. Then toss every few minutes until the mushrooms start to soften and brown, for about 6 minutes.
  • Add a pinch of salt. Continue to cook, tossing occasionally. Wait till mushrooms turn to a deep brown color and caramelized. This process takes around 5 more minutes. Keep an eye on the heat, turning it down if needed.
