SEASONED SOUR CREAM (CHAMPPS COPYCAT)



Seasoned Sour Cream (Champps Copycat) image

Not just a good seasoned sour cream recipe, but the best ever! This recipe gives Champps a run for their money! Great for your next stack of fries or even a platter of veggies.

1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the mayo and sour cream. Add lemon juice, Worcestershire, parsley, garlic salt, paprika, salt, cayenne pepper and pepper. Mix well and refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour before serving.

1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
sliced green onions or chopped fresh dill ( to top when serving)

Steps:

  • Put sour cream and mayo in a large bowl.
  • Add dry spices: parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
  • Add liquid ingredients: lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Mix well to combine, with a whisk.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving, for best results, but you can serve immediately if you wish.

18 ounces sour cream
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/8 cup thinly sliced green onion (1/8-inch)
1/8 cup finely diced fresh parsley
1/2 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 1/8 teaspoons paprika
1 1/8 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/8 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon dill weed, finely diced
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon curry powder

Steps:

  • Mix mayonnaise and sour cream in a large bowl.
  • Add remaining ingredients in order, mixing well after each addition.
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 to 1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Paprika, optional

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saute onion and garlic in butter until tender. , Drain and mash potatoes; add the onion mixture, sour cream, dill, salt, rosemary, lemon zest and red pepper flakes if desired., Spoon into a greased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika if desired. Cover and bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until heated through.

These are light sandies, they almost melt in your mouth. This recipe makes a bunch, perfect for pot luck or Christmas cookie platters. You can add semi or white chocolate chips to mix it up.

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups pecans, chopped
1/2 cup granulated sugar, for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, vegetable oil, 1 cup of white/granulated sugar and confectioners sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Add vanilla. Stir until blended.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.
  • Stir into the creamed mixture. Mix until completely blended.
  • Mix in the pecans.
  • Roll dough into 1 inch balls and roll each ball in remaining white sugar.
  • Place cookies 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. (you may top each cookie with a pecan half if you like).
  • Bake for 11 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden.
  • Remove from cookies sheet to cool on wire racks.
