CHEESY SALSA DIP IN A BREAD BOWL
Cheesy Salsa Dip in a Bread Bowl is an amazing appetizer to serve at your Cinco de Mayo celebration. You will absolutely love the blending of flavors and the taste. You can serve it with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, toasted bread cubes, etc. It's a snap to put together, and can be made ahead of time. Olé!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Slice top off bread round and scoop out interior. Use scooped out bread for another purpose.
- Place pico de gallo, Rotel Tomatoes, cream cheese, sour cream, Cheddar cheese, and taco seasoning in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high in microwave for 1 minute. Remove from microwave, and stir ingredients together.
- Return to microwave for another minute; heat on high. Remove and stir ingredients together. Repeat one more time, or until cheeses are fully melted.
- Whisk dip ingredients until smooth.
- Spoon the mixture into the bread bowl. Place the top back on the bread. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and uncover the aluminum foil. Remove the bread top and stir. Return dip and bread top to oven for 15 additional minutes to crisp up bread.
- Serve with tortilla chips or fresh vegetables such as celery and carrots (see note 5).
- Yield: 8 servings.

BREAD-BOWL MOZZARELLA DIP

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Combine the mozzarella, feta and butter in a large bowl. Slice off the top 2 inches of the bread boule and hollow it out, reserving the top and insides for dipping. Fill the bread bowl with the cheese mixture. Transfer to a baking dish, cover loosely with foil and bake 20 minutes.
- Uncover and crack the egg on top of the cheese mixture. Continue baking, uncovered, until the egg white is almost set, 12 to 15 minutes, then broil until just set, 1 to 2 more minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the red pepper flakes. Just before serving, break the egg yolk with a fork and beat into the melted cheese.
- Serve with the bread trimmings or crudites.

Steps:
- In non-stick pan, saute onions in butter till softened.
- Cube cheese and add.
- Drain half of the tomato juice and mash tomatoes, add tomatoes and rest of juice.
- Cook, stirring, til melted over low heat.
- Set aside.
- Cut top third off bread, cut top into bite-sized cubes.
- Hollow out inside leaving a 1/2" shell. Cut inside pieces into bite-sized pieces.
- Place bread bowl onto platter.
- Place bread cubes around bread bowl for dipping.
- Pour cheese sauce into bread bowl.
- Serve!
- *You can sub regular velveeta if desired.

I got this recipe someone had submitted in a Christmas magazine. It tastes fantastic and it's a dip that you can make the night before put in the fridge and just pop in the oven when needed. You can adjust the bacon to your taste.

- Preheat oven to 350F (180c).
- Cut off the top of bread and save it for the lid.
- dig out pieces bread and save for dipping.
- Cook the bacon till crispy and put aside.
- Mix sour cream and cream cheese till soft.
- Add rest of ingredients.
- Place mixture in hollowed out bread.
- replace lid.
- Wrap in foil with shiny side inches.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cut a 1" slice off the top of the bread. Set aside.
- Remove center of bread, leaving 1/2 inch thick shell. Cut center of bread into cubes and bake until toasted.
- Dip: With electric mixer, beat cream cheese, sour cream and salsa until smooth. Stir in cheddar cheese.

CHEESY BREAD BOWL DIP
This is a recipe I found online about 6 years ago. Whenever we are invited anywhere this is always requested. The best part of this recipe is when the dip is gone and the bread has soaked up all the yummy dip. It's heavenly!!! You can use the bread cubes or crackers or veggies to dip. Enjoy!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cut a round hole in the top of the bread bowl and hollow out, making sure not to puncture the sides or bottom of the bread bowl.
- Cut up the hollowed out bread into cubes to use for dipping.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients with an electric mixer and pour into bread bowl.
- Wrap in double thick foil and place on a cookie sheet.
- Bake for about 1 hour.
