Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 (19 ounce) cans beans
6 slices bacon

Steps:

Place all ingredients except bacon in crockpot. Arrange bacon in spoke formation on top. Cook 4 hours or until done.
OR Preheat oven to 350. In skillet melt butter over low hear. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened. Add other ingredients and heat through. Place in baking dish-level with spatula. Arrange uncooked bacon on top in spoke formation. Bake uncovered 40-45 minutes.

5 slices cooked bacon, drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 (28 ounce) can pork and beans
1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
1 teaspoon red pepper sauce

Steps:

Brown onion in same skillet used to cook bacon, over medium-high heat about 5 to 6 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off excess grease.
Add rest of ingredients except bacon. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes until it tastes real gooooooood!
Crumble bacon over the top before serving.

5 slice bacon, cooked and drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb ground beef, extra lean
28 oz pork and beans
16 oz stewed tomatoes
1/4 c barbecue sauce
3 Tbsp brown sugar, packed
2 Tbsp spicy brown mustard
1 tsp red pepper sauce

Steps:

1. Brown onion in same skillet used to cook bacon, over medium-high heat about 5 to 6 minutes.
2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off excess grease.
3. Add rest of ingredients except bacon. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes until it tastes real gooooooood!
4. Crumble bacon over the top before serving.
