This chocolate chip cookie dough bar recipe is a quick and easy dessert sure to please everyone. My kids and their friends go nuts when they know I'm making this.

¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
⅔ cup chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Mix brown sugar and butter together in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add vanilla extract and beat until combined. Add flour in batches, alternating with condensed milk, mixing dough until combined. Stir in 2 cups chocolate chips.
  • Line a 9x11-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Press the cookie dough into the pan using a spatula. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 3 hours.
  • Combine peanut butter and 2/3 cup chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl; heat in the microwave until smooth, about 45 seconds. Pour over the cookie dough and spread evenly. Chill for 1 hour.

Wowzer. This is the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever eaten, and to think it all started because I wanted to make chocolate chips and didn't want to go to the store for eggs. Cream cheese is the secret ingredient to these soft and chewy cookies. You won't miss the eggs, and I'm wondering why I didn't always make chocolate chip cookies with cream cheese? I skipped the step where you're supposed to put the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes, and they still turned out beautifully.

2 1/4 cups flour (all-purpose)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
6 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
3/4 cup butter, unsalted at room temperature
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl or bowl of a stand mixer, mix the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes on medium.
  • Add the sugar and brown sugar and mix until incorporated.
  • Add the vanilla and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Add the flour mixture and mix.
  • Fold in the milk chocolate chips by hand.
  • Cover with plastic and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper (I skipped this step, and the cookies didn't stick whatsoever. I found this step unnecessary).
  • Using a cookie scoop, place walnut sized dollops of cookie dough on the baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • These cookies won't brown as much as cookies with eggs so keep an eye on them.
  • When done baking leave on baking sheet for 2 to 3 minutes. Then remove to cooling rack to cool completely.

1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup butter flavor shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup pecans or 1/2 cup walnuts

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
  • In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and shortening; mix well.
  • Add eggs, liqueur and vanilla; mix well.
  • Slowly stir in flour mixture until of uniform consistency.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  • Drop onto baking sheet in teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart.
  • Bake 10 to 11 minutes or until light brown.

5 cups blended oatmeal
4 eggs

2 teaspoons baking soda

Steps:

  • Blend Oatmeal to a fine powder.
  • Cream the butter and both Sugars, add eggs and vanilla, then mix togeter with flour (Sifted), oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and the soda.
  • Once all combines, work in the Chocolate chips, hersheys bar and the chopped nuts until evenly spread.
  • Roll into Balls and place on a baking sheet, bake for 10 minutes at 375 Degrees F.
  • Allow to cool on airing tray, as the cookie cool's it'll harded.
