Dill Pickle Pizza image

This pizza is topped with creamy Alfredo sauce and loads of sliced dill pickles for the ultimate salty-tangy combo.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 30m

Yield 4 to 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

All-purpose flour, for dusting
1 pound pizza dough
1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 1/2 cups sliced dill pickles (about 4 large pickles)
Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish
Ranch dressing, for serving

Steps:

  • Place a pizza stone or inverted rimmed baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
  • Dust a piece of parchment lightly with flour. Stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 14-inch round on the parchment, then transfer the dough on the parchment to a pizza peel or another inverted rimmed baking sheet.
  • Spread the Alfredo sauce on the pizza dough and sprinkle with the mozzarella. Combine the garlic powder and Italian seasoning in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the cheese. Top with the pickles.
  • Slide the pizza on the parchment onto the heated stone or baking sheet and bake until the crust is golden, 12 to 14 minutes. Garnish with dill sprigs and serve with ranch dressing for dipping.

Categories     main-dish

Time 25m

Yield 1 serving

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
One 10- to 12-inch flour tortilla
1/2 pound your choice cooked and chopped meat
2 tablespoons sour cream or Mexican crema
2 tablespoons guacamole
One 5-inch corn tostada
1 1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1/2 cup shredded purple cabbage
2 tablespoons pico de gallo or salsa
1/2 cup pickled jalapenos
1 cup nacho cheese sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat a flattop, griddle or large nonstick pan over medium heat. Sprinkle a 5-inch circle of Monterey Jack cheese in the center of the flour tortilla. Add the meat.
  • Spread Mexican crema and guacamole on the top of a corn tostada.
  • Place the tostada on top of the meat, then add the lettuce, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo and a little more Monterey Jack cheese.
  • To fold the crunchwrap, start at the bottom of the flour tortilla and fold the edge up and over the center. Continue to work your way around, folding the tortilla up and over the center fillings, until completely enclosed. Grill the crunchwrap folded-side down, on the flattop or pan. Place a grill press on top and grill each side until brown, about 3 minutes.
  • Cut in half and serve with pickled jalapenos and nacho cheese for dipping.

4 CHEESE PEPPERONI PIZZADILLA

4 Cheese Pepperoni Pizzadilla image

Provided by Ree Drummond : Food Network

Categories     main-dish

Time 25m

Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 tablespoon salted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
Two 10-inch flour tortillas
One 14-ounce jar pizza sauce
3/4 cup shredded provolone
3/4 cup shredded fontina cheese
1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 red bell pepper, seeded, halved crosswise and cut into very thin strips
1/4 small red onion, sliced into very thin half-moons
15 pepperoni slices
2 tablespoons Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
1/8 cup torn fresh basil leaves

Steps:

  • Preheat the broiler.
  • Heat the butter and oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place one flour tortilla in the skillet. Spread a few tablespoons pizza sauce on the tortilla, leaving a little room around the edges. Sprinkle half of the provolone and half of the fontina over the sauce. Sprinkle a third of the mozzarella next, followed by 1 tablespoon Parmesan and 1/2 teaspoon oregano.
  • Top with the second tortilla and press it down gently. Once the underside is perfectly toasted, carefully flip the quesadilla to the other side.
  • Spread a few more tablespoons pizza sauce on the toasted side of the tortilla, being sure to leave a little bit of the edges exposed so it looks like a pizza. Sprinkle with another third of the mozzarella and the remaining provolone, fontina, Parmesan and oregano.
  • Arrange the red bell pepper and red onion on top of the cheeses like you would on a pizza. Do the same with the pepperoni slices and the olives. Top with the remaining mozzarella.
  • Transfer the pan to the broiler and let cook to melt the cheese on top, about 2 minutes. Carefully transfer the pizzadilla to a cutting board using a large spatula or two smaller spatulas.
  • Warm up the remaining pizza sauce and serve in a bowl for dipping. Cut the pizzadilla into wedges and garnish with the torn basil.

PIZZADILLAS

Create 'pizza' wedges using flour tortillas and a cheese and tomato filling. We added salami, but olives or mushrooms work as veggie options

Provided by Sarah Cook

Categories     Canapes, Snack

Time 30m

Yield Serves 4 as a snack or 8 with other party food

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 mini flour tortillas
200g tomato pasta sauce
200g grated mozzarella
2 tsp dried oregano (or mixed Italian herbs)
approx 80g pack sliced salami
2 tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • Lay out the tortillas on your work surface. Mix together the tomato sauce, mozzarella, 1 tsp of the oregano and a good grinding of black pepper. Spread over each tortilla, then arrange the salami over 4 tortillas. Sandwich the other 4 tortillas on top.
  • Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Mix the oil with the remaining oregano and brush over each side of the pizzadillas. Fry them for 2-3 mins on each side until golden and crisp, and the cheese has melted. Cut into wedges with a pizza wheel and serve.

PIZZADILLAS

Pizzadillas image

This is one of those recipes that is so quick and easy that I have been using it for years now without needing to take another look at it. So I can't figure out where I originally got the idea. Delicious and easy to adjust to your tastes!

Provided by Starrynews

Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 20m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 whole wheat tortillas
1/2 cup pasta sauce, divided (Pasta Sauce #1 highly recommended)
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
cooked sausage or any other favorite pizza toppings
nonstick cooking spray

Steps:

  • Spread pizza sauce on one tortilla.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Add toppings of your choice, or add some extra cheese and keep it simple.
  • Top with second tortilla.
  • Spray the outside of the pizzadilla with spray butter or non-stick cooking spray. I find it easiest to spray the pan, place the pizzadilla in the pan, and then spray the top side, so that all of the ingredients won't fall out trying to juggle it.
  • Cook until golden brown and cheese is melted in a pan over medium heat, flipping once.
  • Cut into wedges. Use remaining sauce for dipping!
