¼ fresh pineapple - peeled, cored and cubed
1 large banana, cut into chunks
1 cup pineapple or apple juice

Steps:

  • Place ice cubes, pineapple, banana, and pineapple juice into the bowl of a blender. Puree on high until smooth.

1 cup chopped fresh pineapple, plus a pineapple wedge for garnish
1 cup packed chopped kale (stems removed)
1 cup frozen green grapes
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon ground flaxseed

Steps:

  • Put the pineapple, kale, frozen grapes, lemon juice, ginger and flaxseed into a blender. Blend on high until very smooth, turning off the blender and pushing down on the ingredients with a spatula or wooden spoon as needed to help the blending process. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water if needed to adjust consistency. Pour into a glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge.

I am sure it would taste just as good using frozen blueberries and fresh pineapple. The first time I made this smoothie, the intense color about knocked my socks off! 1 cup plain greek yogurt
4 cups spinach
1 cup pineapple, chopped ((fresh or frozen))
1 cup strawberries ((fresh or frozen))
3/4 cup avocado chunks ((fresh or frozen))
2 Tbsp hemp seeds
2 Tbsp chia seeds
1 lime, juice only
Approx. 10 leaves fresh mint
Ice (if needed - if using frozen fruits likely unnecessary!)
Optional: 2 scoops unflavoured collagen powder or protein powder (if additional protein desired)

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender, making sure to add the ingredients in the order of the recipe (this helps with blending).
  • Blend on high for about 2 minutes, or until smooth and creamy. If not using frozen fruits or avocado, you will likely need to add ice to get it cold enough.
  • Enjoy immediately or store for later!
