Pepperoni Pizza Pull-Apart Bread image

A crusty loaf of bread is stuffed with cheese and pepperoni, then sprinkled with herbs and Parmesan cheese, and baked until toasty and golden. Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Provided by Danelle

Categories     Appetizers

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 loaf of round, crusty bread, such as sourdough
16 ounces sliced Provolone or mozzarella cheese, cut into squares
3-4 ounces pepperoni, halved (or mini pepperoni)
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
Warm marinara sauce for dipping

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the bread in a cross-wise pattern, without cutting through the bottom crust.
  • Place the bread on large piece of foil (enough to wrap the entire loaf). Insert cheese slices and pepperoni between the cuts.
  • Combine the melted butter, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning. Brush over stuffed bread with a pastry brush. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Wrap bread completely in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap the bread and bake 5-10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown. Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Pepperoni Pizza Pull Apart Bread Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Provided by teachskinner

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 Cans of Pizza Dough or Biscuits
2 cups Mozzarella cheese (or your favorite cheese)
2 tablespoons of a really good Italian seasoning (link in post) or parsley flakes
1/3 cup olive oil
1 - 8 oz package of pepperoni (we used the turkey)
1 cup Parmesean cheese
Optional: Add a 1/2 teaspoon of fresh garlic or garlic powder (it's amazing)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Cut pizza dough or biscuits into quarters (as shown in the photo) Cut the pepperoni into smaller pieces Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and toss so that the oil is spread evenly on each piece of dough Bake for about 30 minutes (or until the top is brown and the center is thoroughly cooked) TIP: Be sure to check it in the middle before you pull it out. If the middle is still not cooked thoroughly be sure to leave it in another 5 minutes at a time until it's done. Flip over on to a plate while it's still hot. Serve with a side sauce and enjoy!

We're huge Notre Dame fans, and we tailgate. A lot! This is one of those recipe that is a sure fit hit with the kids and the adults. Sometimes we get crazy and add other "pizza" type ingredients like olives, or peppers, but mainly we stay with the original pizza pull apart bread-it seems to be a good luck charm for our team! -Dana Elliot, Taste of Home Culinary Specialist

Made in a Bundt pan (half the recipe), it is a beautiful appetizer served with warmed pizza sauce in the center in a ramekin. Nadiya's pepperoni and cheese sharing bread has all the flavours of pizza, but is easier to eat!

Provided by Nadiya Hussain

Categories     Main course

Yield Serves 6-8

Number Of Ingredients 11

400g/14oz self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp salt
7g fast-action dried yeast
300ml/10fl oz warm water
4 tbsp sriracha sauce (or any chilli or tomato sauce)
8 cheese slices (any cheese of your choice)
80g/2¾oz thinly sliced pepperoni, about 16 slices
8 basil leaves
3 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for greasing

Steps:

  • To make the dough, place the flour, oregano, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, making sure to keep the salt and yeast on separate sides until you begin mixing. Mix everything together. Make a well in the centre, add the water gradually and mix until the dough starts to come together. You may not need all the water.
  • Dust a work surface with flour and knead the dough by hand or attach a dough hook and knead in the stand mixer. If you are doing it by hand, it should take about 10-12 minutes of continual kneading. If you are doing it in the mixer, 6 minutes on a medium speed should do the trick. What you are looking for is a stretchy dough that is smooth, shiny and still just a little bit tacky. Cover the bowl with greased cling film and leave the dough to prove until doubled in size. Generously grease the inside of a 900g/2lb loaf tin with oil.
  • Tip the dough out on to a lightly floured work surface and roll out to a 25x35cm/10x14in rectangle (you might need more flour because it is a wet dough). Brush the top with the sriracha, distribute the cheese slices evenly over the top, top each piece of cheese with 2 pepperoni slices and pop a basil leaf on top of each.
  • Now cut the rectangle into 8 equal squares. Take each square and fold it in half like a book. Stack them side by side in the tin with the filling bit exposed at the top. Cover with greased cling film and leave to prove until it has doubled in size again.
  • Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6. Remove the cling film from the tin and bake for 25 minutes, or until cooked and golden. Take out of the oven and brush all over with the olive oil, then leave in the tin for 20 minutes before pulling apart, tearing and sharing!

KIDS CAN MAKE: PULL-APART PIZZA BREAD

Kids Can Make: Pull-Apart Pizza Bread image

Kids and adults will have fun making and eating this finger-friendly pizza bread. For big and little kids: Let them help measure, roll and assemble the bread right in the pan.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     appetizer

Time 2h15m

Yield 8 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
Kosher salt
2 pounds store-bought pizza dough, at room temperature
2/3 cup pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
24 pepperoni slices, quartered
1 cup shredded mozzarella (4 ounces)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan (1 ounce), plus more for sprinkling

Steps:

  • Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 400 degrees F. Brush the bottom and sides of a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with oil.
  • Pour the 3 tablespoons oil onto a large dinner plate and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pinch off pieces of dough the size of Ping-Pong balls and roll them into rough balls. Roll each dough ball around in the salted oil until all sides are coated.
  • Put half of the dough balls in the prepared pan, squishing them together. Spread half of the pizza sauce over the balls, then sprinkle with half of the pepperoni, mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat with the remaining dough balls, pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheeses.
  • Put the loaf pan on a rimmed baking sheet (to catch any drips) and bake until the bread is puffed up and golden brown, about 25 minutes. Cover loosely with foil and continue to bake until the bread is cooked through in the middle, about 25 minutes more. Let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then use dry oven mitts or kitchen towels to carefully unmold. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan and serve hot with more pizza sauce for dipping. (Let your guests pull the bread apart!)

PULL-APART BREAD WITH PEPPERONI AND MOZZARELLA

Pull-Apart Bread with Pepperoni and Mozzarella image

This appetizer-sized bread bite is simple to put together and takes advantage of store-bought rolls. The best part, you can modify the servings for a couple or a crowd. Feel free to change it up and use French bread, a bread boule, etc., as long as it isn't sliced through. Make sure the pepperoni is big enough to be folded in half. Serve with marinara sauce if desired.

Provided by thedailygourmet

Time 25m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 6

12 (6 inch) sandwich rolls
1 (6 ounce) package pepperoni slices
