- Remove the Peerless shower head from the faucet. As you could suspect, the first thing to do is to remove the Peerless shower head from its base, the faucet.
- Inspect the Peerless shower head. Here, you’ll need to determine where to plug in your screwdriver. Namely, you will want to remove the screen filter from the shower head and it is best to find a perfect way to do it.
- Gently pry the filter screen and the rubber gasket. For this step, you will need to use a screwdriver. First of all, you will need to gently pry the flow screen and detach it from the shower head.
- Locate the flow restrictor. Once you remove the screen filter and the rubber gasket, the only thing you’ll see is the flow restrictor. The flow restrictor is usually a small part of the shower head and it stands in the middle of the pipe, at the center of the shower head.
- Press one side of the flow restrictor with the screwdriver. Use a screwdriver and press it slowly on the side of the flow restrictor. This will make the flow restrictor to pop out on the opposite side and that’s where you will be able to remove it.
- Remove it slowly from the Peerless shower head. The next thing to do is to take the screwdriver and put it just under the part of the flow restrictor that is lifted a little bit.
- Put gasket rubber and the filter screen back inside. Once you did everything as we explained above, it’s time to put everything back in its place and reinstall the shower head back to the faucet.
- Reinstall the Peerless shower head on the faucet. As you reassembled the shower head back together, it’s only left to attach it back to the faucet once again.
