Steps:
- Whisk together the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding mix until well incorporated and the mixture begins to thicken. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Using a stand mixer or electric hand mixer, beat together the whipping cream, peanut butter and confectioners' sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the chopped peanut butter cup candies, reserving 1/4 cup for the top.
- To assemble the trifle, loosely break up the brownie bites. If the trifle dish is even at the bottom, place a layer of broken brownies over the bottom of the dish. (If the trifle dish has a dip in the center, spread 1/2 cup chocolate pudding into the dip to even it out before starting with an even layer of brownies.) Top the brownies with 1 cup of pudding, spreading it to an even layer with an offset spatula. Follow by spreading 1 1/2 cups of the peanut butter whipped cream atop the pudding layer. Repeat twice with the remaining brownie bites, pudding and whipped cream, creating 9 layers total and ending with a whipped cream layer. Sprinkle with the remaining chopped peanut butter cups.
- Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to overnight before serving.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER TRIFLE
This recipe is modified from a chocolate peanut butter pie recipe my teenage son and I found in a magazine. The pie tasted awesome but we could never get it to set up right, no matter how we tried. I've made this for several gatherings and it's always a big hit. I use pound cake but you could also use angel food cake or even brownies if you want a serious chocolate fix. Super easy to make. A great recipe for kids to help with or teens to make by themselves. My teenage son always gets a kick out of making something that people give him so many compliments on.

- In the bowl of an electric mixer (or using a hand mixer), beat heavy cream and sugar on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Transfer the whipped cream to an separate bowl and stick in the fridge until ready to use. I did not even clean the bowl of my electric mixer and just began mixing the peanut butter mixture.
- Add the peanut butter and cream cheese to the bowl and beat at medium speed, scraping down the sides a few times until mixture is creamy. Add in powdered sugar and mix until combined, then mix in 2 tablespoons of milk. Remove the whipped cream from the fridge and add 1 cup of it to the peanut butter, folding it in until the mixture turns lighter in color and is mostly combined.
- Grab your trifle dish and begin to layer your ingredients however you’d like. I did a layer of brownies, then peanut butter, then a handful of chopped peanut butter cups, chocolate pudding, whipped cream, and so on. I repeated it until I got to the top, then piped the remaining whipped cream on top and sprinkled the candy on. You really can’t go wrong with layering – just use a long spoon to serve!
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU EAT PEANUT BUTTER ... - EAT THIS NOT THAT
From eatthis.com
Estimated Reading Time 6 mins
- You'll ward off cancer. Nut consumption is associated with a decreased risk in several cancers including lung, pancreatic, endometrial, and colorectal, explained Hollie Zammit, RD, a registered dietitian with Orlando Health.
- It can result in weight gain. "Peanut butter is high in calories—two tablespoons have about 180 calories—so eating too much of it can lead to weight gain," said New York City-based registered dietitian Natalie Rizzo, MS.
- You'll see lower numbers on the scale. "If you stick to the recommended portions, eating peanut butter may increase certain hormones that promote satiety and feelings of fullness," says Rizzo, citing research published by the National Institutes of Health.
- You'll get hours back in your day. One of the major struggles of eating healthy is the time it takes to prepare and cook full meals. Peanut butter takes the struggle out of meal prep without sacrificing any of the flavor or nutrition.
- You'll be happier. "If I was on a deserted island and I could only bring one food, it would be a jar of peanut butter," says Burak. "That's how much I love it and how versatile it is when it comes to a healthy diet."
- The type of peanut butter matters. Not all peanut butter is created equal. This might be less of an issue if you are eating it as an occasional treat, but if you are eating it every day, you need to make sure you know what you are putting into your body.
- You should eat in a variety of ways. "What is more classic and delicious than a PB&J sandwich?" Burak asked. While the classic combo is one tried-and-true way to incorporate peanut butter into your diet, if you are going to be eating it every day, don't be afraid to mix it up a little and try some new recipes.
