EASY PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE BARS

Easy Peanut Butter Fudge Bars image

Easy homemade holiday treat recipe - No Bake Peanut Butter Fudge

Provided by Julia Jordan | Julia's Simply Southern

Categories     Desserts

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 Stick + 1 tbs Butter
2.5 c Light Brown Sugar, lightly packed
2/3 c Whole Milk
1 c Peanut Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
4 c Confectioners Sugar

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium low heat.
  • Add the brown sugar and mix to incorporate.
  • Add the milk and vanilla and mix to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and add the peanut butter. Stir until the peanut butter is melted into the mixture.
  • Add confectioners sugar to a mixing bowl and pour the wet mixture over it.
  • Use a hand mixer, starting on low speed, to mix everything together. Increase speed until well incorporated. The mixture will become very thick.
  • Add the easy peanut butter fudge bar mixture to an 8 x 8 pan. I used a disposable foil pan but you could line a regular pan with parchment paper.
  • Cover and refrigerate for two hours to allow the fudge bars to set up.
  • Remove from the refrigerator. You can easily remove the entire set up fudge from the pan at this point. After removing, cut into squares.
  • Bag each bar into a holiday plastic gift bag and close with a twist tie. Finish with ribbon.

PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE PROTEIN BARS (CLEAN EATING)

Peanut Butter Fudge Protein Bars (Clean Eating) image

Healthy clean protein bars to definitely satisfy a chocolate craving!! from clean eating, fall 2008, pg84 Great for afternoon snack!!!! each bar has about 29g of protein!!!!! with no sugar or anything added. YUM

Provided by trishaje8

Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 8m

Yield 4 bars, 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 scoops chocolate protein powder
2/3 cup flax seed meal
1/4 cup water
4 tablespoons chunky peanut butter
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tablespoon stevia (optional)

Steps:

  • place all items in large bowl and mix until well blended, will become a sticky thick dough. if feel you need to add more water, add a tablespoon at a time. Seperate dough into 4 separate parts, i measure about 1/3 each. Place seperated dough on saran wrap and mold into a bar shape. Then just stick em in fridge or freezer. They taste way better cold and are not as sticky -- have great flavor! I'm trying to come up with other ways and ideas of how to make these even yummier.

  • Line a pan with parchment: Line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper. I like to use binder clips on each side to keep the parchment in place.
  • Melt dark chocolate: Place chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth. It will likely take 1 to 3 minutes (depending on your microwave). You can also use a double-boiler to melt your chocolate if desired.
  • Add peanut butter: Quickly add peanut butter to the melted chocolate and stir until completely combined.
  • Transfer to loaf pan: Pour peanut butter chocolate mixture into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top.
