- In a large saucepan, bring 1-1/2 cups water to a boil. Add the noodles and contents of seasoning packet. Boil for 3-4 minutes or until noodles are tender., Meanwhile, add 4 in. of water to another large saucepan; bring to a boil. Cut each hot dog lengthwise into eight strips to within 2 in of one end. Drop into boiling water; cook until heated through., Add food coloring to noodles if desired. Drain if necessary. Place noodles on serving plates; top with a hot dog. Add eyes and mouth with dabs of mustard.

Steps:
- Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- Cut hot dogs in half. To make the 'legs' of the octodog, make 3 cuts on 1 side of each hot dog, leaving about 1/3 the rounded top of the hot dog for the 'head'. Turn hot dog over and make 3 more cuts, so you have 8 'legs'.
- Place the octodogs in the boiling water until cooked through and the 'legs' curl up, about 1 minute.

- Cut each hotdog into 8 strips to within 2 inches of one end.
- Drop into boiling water.
- Cook till heated through.

- Top with hotdog, standing up.
- Add eyes and mouth with ketchup and mustard.

- Plunge the octopus into already slightly warm, salted water and boil it for about 1 hour. Remove from heat, cover and let cool in the cooking water. Mix the honey with the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, 1/2 cup olive oil and 4-5 slices of ginger to make a marinade.
- Drain the octopus, place it in a baking dish and pour in most of the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes. Soak the seaweed in cold water for 15 minutes to rehydrate it, then blanch it in lightly salted water for 5 minutes. Drain and season it with a little oil, salt if needed, and a few of tablespoons of the marinade.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan and brown the octopus in it (making sure not to overly drain it) without any added fats for 3-4 minutes per side. Arrange the seasoned seaweed in a serving dish, place the octopus on top and serve it with the remaining marinade in a bowl on the side.
