Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, flour, melted butter and egg with spoon until soft dough forms.
- Shape into 50 (3/4-inch) balls. In small bowl, beat egg whites lightly with fork. Place nuts in another small bowl. Dip each ball into egg white, then roll in nuts. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 1 inch apart.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheets. Using end of wooden spoon, make indentation in center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 20 minutes.
- When ready to serve, spoon hazelnut chocolate spread into small resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag. Cut off small corner of bag; insert cut corner of bag into indentation in each cookie. Squeeze bag to fill opening, about 1/2 teaspoon per cookie. Sprinkle with nonpareils.
- Store covered in airtight container at room temperature in single layer.

Steps:
- For the shortcrust pastry, sift the flour and icing sugar into a mixing bowl. Add the vanilla sugar, lemon zest and a pinch of salt. Rub the butter into the flour mixture until it is incorporated and then mix in egg yolks. Knead everything into a compact smooth dough. Wrap the dough and chill it for 1 hour.
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and bring it to room temperature for 10 minutes. Form the dough into a long roll and divide it into 60 equal portions. Form a small ball from each portion and place it on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment (you will need two or more sheets). Press a dip (for the jam) into each ball with the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Heat the jelly or jam in a saucepan until it melts. Use a teaspoon to fill the dips in the dough balls.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, then allow to cool completely. Finally, dust the cookies with some icing sugar. The cookies can be stored in an airtight container for several weeks.

- In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth (3-5 minutes). Scrape the bowl when needed. Then beat in the egg yolks, vanilla, and salt. Finally, beat in the flour until just combined. Cover and chill for about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and set to the side.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch round balls. Roll the balls in the egg whites and then in the chopped hazelnuts. Place the balls 1 inch apart on the prepared cookie sheets. Then press your thumb into the center of each ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. If the center puffs during baking, repress it with a spoon. Cool the cookies on a wire rack. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the Nutella for about 20 seconds. Fill the center of your cookies with the Nutella. Pack and store them in an air-tight container.
