Number Of Ingredients 5

4 cups non-dairy milk such as almond or coconut
1/4-1/2 cup monkfruit, stevia blend, or other sweetener
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt

Steps:

  • Pour the almond milk (or other dairy-free milk) in a saucepan, then add all the other ingredients and stir together.
  • Heat over medium heat, whisking often with a wire whisk to keep it from burning.
  • After the mixture has heated, ladle it into cups and serve!

1 cup Blue Diamond Unsweetened Almond Breeze ((Almond Coconut Blend, 40 calorie/cup) or your favorite, see shopping tips)
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa. (I like Ghirardelli, Droste or Scharffen Berger), see shopping tips)
1½ packages of Truvia, Stevia, Splenda (or your favorite sugar substitute, add more to taste)

Steps:

  • Microwave: Add almond milk to a mug. Heat in microwave until very hot. Stir in cocoa and sweetener. Mix well until cocoa is completely dissolved. If desired, once mixed pour into a blender and whip for 20 seconds. This makes it frothy good like at a coffee house!
  • Stove Top: In a small pot, add all ingredients. Using a whisk, fork or spoon, stir together while heating over medium heat. Continue to mix while heating until cocoa is dissolved. If desired, once hot, pour into blender and whip for 20 seconds.

I was looking for a low carb, sugar free , and dairy free hot chocolate mix, and I took two recipes and combined them together.

2 1/2 cups non-dairy coffee creamer
8 teaspoons Sweet 'n Low
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 fat-free sugar-free instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Mix it all together.
  • Use 3-4 TBLS in a mug of hot water.
  • You can use 2/3 cups of Splenda granular if you don't like Sweet n' Low.
  • Or you can use 2/3 cups or regualr sugar if you prefer.

If you love hot chocolate, this is a healthier take. This Keto Hot Chocolate Mix is sugar-free and dairy-free. It also contains raw cacao which is high in magnesium and full of essential vitamins and minerals. You start with a basic recipe mix and can add some festive cheer with spiced cinnamon, boozy or orange and cardamom flavors.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 ounce sugar free chocolate ((or at least 85%), grated course or ultra course)
2 tablespoons collagen ((marine or grass-fed bovine))
3/4 tablespoon cacao powder (raw (can substitute with cocoa))
1/2 teaspoon sweetener (optional (or to taste))
10 ounces unsweetened almond milk ((option to substitute 2 tbsp with heavy cream, not dairy-free))
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 tablespoon nut butter (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix grated chocolate with collagen powder, raw cacao and optional sweetener in a bowl.
  • In a large pan (deep enough to use a hand blender) bring almond milk and vanilla extract to just under boiling on a medium/ low heat.
  • Turn off the heat and add Hot Chocolate Mix and optional nut butter, if using.
  • Stir with a spatula to combine then blitz with a hand blender until smooth and frothy. This is essential to get the creaminess without cream and also to get rid of any lumps. Option to use a blender like a Vitamix.
  • Adjust the sweetness to taste and level of raw cacao.
  • Optional: Serve with whipped coconut cream or whipped cream.
