This hearty dinner is full of flavorful ingreidents like beef tenderloin and mushrooms.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 pound beef tenderloin tips or stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
1 package gravy mix
1 package dry onion soup mix
4 ounce can sliced mushrooms
1 cup water or ginger ale soda
cooked rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Place the cubed meat ino a 9x13-inch inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the mushroom soup, gravy mix, onion soup mix, mushrooms, and water or ginger ale. Pour mixture over the beef.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Do not remove the foil until it is done cooking.
  • Serve over rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes.

1 packet brown gravy mix
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 cup water or ginger ale soda

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Place the meat into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, combine the mushroom soup, brown gravy, onion soup, and water/ginger ale.
  • Pour the soup mixture over the beef. Cover pan with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven at 300 degrees and bake for 3 hours. Here is the important thing - leave this in the oven for the whole 3 hours. No removing the foil to peek on the beef until the 3 hours is up!
  • Carefully remove foil. It will be steamy and you don't want to get burned! Let sit for a few minutes to cool and serve over cooked rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes. Serves 6-8

This is a well known, very easy & delicious recipe but worth printing for those who may not have tried it yet! It makes a wonderful gravy...DO NOT ADD WATER! This can also be made in the oven. I had this recipe years ago when it was not for a slow cooker and didn't have the wine or mushrooms. Place meat in pan or baking dish that has a tight lid. Spread mixture over then place a piece of foil over top before covering so the steam stays inches Bake at 275 x 3 hours DO NOT ADD WATER. I add veggies like potato, carrot onion when I make this recipe in the oven or in the crockpot.

1/2 cup red wine
4 ounces mushrooms
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Mix all except beef, place beef in crock pot, spread mixture over meat. Cook on low 8-10 hours.

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon steak seasoning
salt and ground black pepper to taste
8 fluid ounces beef broth
2 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
5 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
1 (.75 ounce) packet dry brown gravy mix

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a Dutch oven over high heat. Add beef, green bell pepper, onion, steak seasoning, salt, and black pepper; cook and stir until beef is browned and almost cooked through, 15 to 20 minutes. Do not drain beef.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add beef broth, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf to beef mixture; continue cooking until liquid thickens and beef is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low. Stir in gravy mix. Cook, covered, until gravy is thick and beef is tender, about 10 minutes.

1 pound beef stew meat, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon kosher salt
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cups water
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons minced garlic, or more to taste
2 cubes beef bouillon
2 tablespoons cornstarch, or as needed

Steps:

  • Whisk red wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons cornstarch, kosher salt, and pepper together in a glass or ceramic bowl. Add beef to vinegar mixture and toss to coat. Marinate meat for at least 20 minutes. Drain beef and discard marinade.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef and onion in hot oil until meat is browned and onions are soft and translucent, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Stir water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and beef bouillon together in a pot over medium-high heat until bouillon dissolves, about 10 minutes. Ladle about 1/4 cup hot broth into a bowl; whisk 2 tablespoons cornstarch into bowl until dissolved. Stir cornstarch mixture into the broth mixture in the pot.
