Steps:
- Brown meat. Drain.
- Dissolve bouillon in 1 ½ cups boiling water.
- Add to skillet with meat.
- Combine ½ cup cold water with cornstarch. Sir into meat mixture.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until thickened.
- Add drained chop suey vegetables and soy sauce.
- Stir and cook until heated through, about 15 minutes.
- Serve over rice. Sprinkle with chow mein noodles.

- In a large skillet, over medium heat, mix together chicken {or turkey}, celery soup, milk, soy sauce, bean drained sprouts, sour cream, parsley, and onion. Mix well until incorporated. Cook for 30 minutes - mixture should be bubbly. While cooking, make your rice. Remove from stove and serve over cooked rice. Top with Chow Mein Noodles. Drizzle with additional soy sauce if needed. (I don't, but my hubby does)
TURKEY CHOP SUEY
This recipe makes use of cooked turkey meat. You may have leftover Thanksgiving turkey or you may cook up a breast specially for this. Either way, this is a very good mix of the turkey with vegetables. A garnish of chow mein noodles adds delicious crunch. - Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok until very hot. Add the scallions, celery, mushrooms and cabbage and stir-fry until cabbage is tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the bean sprouts, turkey, soy sauce, and dry sherry and stir-fry until heated through, about 1-2 minutes.
- Combine the broth and cornstrch to make a smooth paste. Add to pan and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened. Seerve with white rice.

- In a large skillet, saute onion and celery in butter until tender. Add the turkey, water chestnuts and broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat. , In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, water and soy sauce until smooth; add to turkey mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add bean sprouts. This is the fast and easy chop suey recipe that my mother always made, and we love it 'as is', but you could substitute a can of Chinese mixed vegetables for the bean sprouts if you like more color and texture. Serve over hot rice, topped with chow mein noodles and soy sauce, if desired.

- Heat shortening in a large, deep skillet. Sear pork until it turns white, then add onion and saute for 5 minutes. Add celery, hot water, salt and pepper. Cover skillet and simmer for 5 minutes. Add sprouts and heat to boiling.
- In a small bowl combine the cold water, cornstarch, soy sauce and sugar. Mix together and add to skillet mixture. Cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened to taste.

I love this recipe! It's cheap, delicious and fast to prepare. It comes from an old boyfriend's mum. She is Samoan and a great cook. As this is a Samoan recipe, you can bet it's going to feed a small army.

Steps:
- In a large pan, fry the onion, garlic and ginger until the onion is translucent over a med/high heat.
- Add and fry the meat for no more than 2 minutes It needs to be just seared. Stir so it doesn't burn.
- Add the soy sauce and water (the water should almost cover the meat - not totally). Let simmer over a med. heat while you prepare the noodles (about 5 minutes).
- Prepare the noodles as per the pack instructions (place hot water in a bowl and add the noodles, let stand until they are re-hydrated and plyable).
- Snip the noodles, you want each strand to be short.
- Add the noodles plus 1 cup of the water from the noodles.
- Add the remaining ingredients. It will look soupy - this is normal.
- Stir and let simmer over a medium heart for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve as is!
