No-Bake Monster Cereal Bites image

No-Bake Monster Cereal Bites are a fun treat (and so easy to make) with a blast of peanut butter to help keep you satisfied. Break them out when the mood for a fun treat strikes!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup granola
1 cup Cheerios cereal, lightly rolled and broken (I put mine in a zippered plastic bag and used the peanut butter jar to lightly pound on them)
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup raisins
5 ounces mini M&M's candies
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, divided

Steps:

  • Add all the ingredients (reserve 1 tablespoon of the sesame seeds as garnish) to a bowl and stir to combine.
  • Refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Remove from the refrigerator and roll into 2-inch balls. Sprinkle the balls with the sesame seeds and serve.
  • Store remaining Bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

2-1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup mini M&M candies

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, stir together the oats, peanut butter, honey and vanilla until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&M candies. Roll dough into 2-tablespoon sized smooth balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or enjoy right away. Once the balls have set, transfer them to an air-tight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

3/4 cup strawberry yogurt
2 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
4 medium bananas, peeled and cut crosswise in half
8 wooden pop sticks

Steps:

  • Place yogurt and cereal in separate shallow bowls. Insert pop sticks through cut side of bananas. Dip bananas in yogurt, then roll in cereal to coat. Transfer to waxed paper-lined baking sheets., Freeze until firm, about 1 hour. Transfer to airtight freezer containers; seal containers and return pops to freezer.

These nutritious bars are a brilliant post-workout snack. They're gluten-free and easy to prepare with no baking involved

75g mixed seeds
50g nut butter or peanut butter
50g clear honey or agave syrup
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cocoa powder
50g prunes , chopped
50g dried figs , chopped
25g puffed brown rice (we used Rude Health)

Steps:

  • Line the base of a 20 x 20cm baking tin with baking parchment. Put the seeds in a dry, non-stick pan over a medium heat and cook until they start to pop and turn golden. Transfer to a small bowl to cool.
  • In a medium saucepan, soften the nut butter and honey over a low heat for about 2 mins, stirring continuously, until the mixture has warmed through.
  • Take the pan off the heat. Stir in the cinnamon and cocoa powder, followed by the fruit and toasted seeds. Add the puffed rice and stir well to coat. Quickly transfer the mixture to the tin, spreading out evenly and pressing down with the back of a spoon to create a compact, even surface.
  • Leave for 45 mins-1 hr to firm up, then slice into 8 bars with a sharp knife. Wrap in strips of baking parchment and secure with tape or string. Will keep in an airtight container for 3-4 days.

  • Line 9-inch square pan with nonstick foil, or spray with cooking spray; spray back of large spoon with cooking spray. In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 45 seconds or until melted. Add 4 cups marshmallows; microwave 1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until marshmallows are melted.
  • Add cereal to marshmallow mixture; stir to combine, and add to square pan. With sprayed back of spoon, press mixture evenly in pan. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Remove bars from pan. Cut into 6 rows by 3 rows.
  • Meanwhile, line work surface with waxed paper. In small microwavable bowl, microwave candy melts as directed on package to melt. Dip each bar and decorate as desired, using photo as a guide. Place decorated bars on waxed paper about 30 minutes or until set.
