CARAMEL GOLDEN NO-BAKE COOKIES

These are so yummy and good to make whenever because they require NO BAKING you just mix them together and let them sit for about 5-10 minutes until they are firm. This is a great cookie recipe for 10 years and older. As long as an adult is there to supervise, they can pretty much do it themselves.

2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3 1/2 cups quick oats
1 cup coconut (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • In saucepan, mix sugar, milk, and butter.
  • Boil for one minute, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.
  • Drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper and let sit for 5-10 minutes or until firm.

3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
2 cups white sugar
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup milk
½ cup margarine

Steps:

  • Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  • Mix oats and coconut in a large bowl until thoroughly combined.
  • Stir sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and margarine together in a saucepan over medium heat until the mixture is smooth. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over the oats and coconut and quickly mix to coat. Drop by tablespoon onto prepared baking sheet; let cookies cool and harden. Store in an airtight container.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

25 caramels
3 cups quick-cooking oats

Steps:

  • In a heavy saucepan, bring butter and milk to a boil; add sugar, vanilla and salt. Cook for 1 minute. Add caramels and stir until melted, about 4 minutes. Stir in oats and coconut. , Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until set.

1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
3/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in coconut, oats and walnuts., Drop dough by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.
