REAL DEAL CHICKEN WINGS (NOT BUFFALO WINGS, JUST BUFFALO STYLE)



REAL DEAL Chicken Wings (Not Buffalo Wings, just Buffalo style) image

1/2 gallon oil, for frying
10 chicken wings, mix of drumettes and 'flats' or mid-joint wing
3 ounces hot cayenne pepper sauce, such as Frank's RedHot
1 ounce salted butter
2 ounces blue cheese dressing
4 carrot sticks
4 celery sticks

Steps:

  • Preheat the oil to 350 degrees F in a deep fryer. Carefully place the chicken in the oil. Cook the chicken, 7 to 8 minutes. Carefully remove the chicken from the oil and let them rest, about 2 minutes. Carefully place the chicken back into the oil, about 2 minutes. Serve the chicken with the dressing, carrot and celery sticks.

1/4 teaspoon paprika
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Toss wings in the dry rub, spread them on a lightly oiled cooking tray and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour, until crispy.
