Steps:

• Fry up the bacon and crumble in pieces. Cut up the green pepper and onion and cook in the bacon grease until soft. Combine all ingredients together. Let simmer in pan on low for at least an hour.
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fry up the bacon and crumble in pieces. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and discard some grease. Add the green pepper and onion and fry until tender.
• Combine bacon, green pepper, and onion, pork and beans, ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a 9x13 inch pan. Bake covered for 1 hour. You can also simmer in a large pot on the stove for 1 hour.

Steps:

• Adjust the oven rack to the lower-middle position and preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
• Fry the regular chopped bacon in a large, deep skillet until the bacon has partially cooked and released about 1/4 cup drippings. Add the onions, peppers and jalapenos, and saute until tender, about 5 minutes. Add the beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, ketchup, mustard and chipotles, and bring to a simmer. (If the skillet is not large enough, add the beans and heat to a simmer and then transfer to a large bowl and stir in the remaining ingredients). Pour the flavored beans into an aluminum pan. Top with the uncooked slices of bacon (you can halve the slices if you like). Then bake until the beans are bubbly and the sauce is the consistency of pancake syrup, about 2 hours. Let stand to thicken slightly and serve.

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Open beans and pour in casserole dish. Add all ingredients and mix well.
• Note: the sausage I put in raw just tearing chunks because you want the fat drippings for flavor.
• Cover and bake for at least two hours, uncovering the last 30 minutes to thicken up dish.

• 1. Saute first 3 ingredients together, until bacon is cooked and flavors blended.
• 2. In a bowl, mix the next 3 ingredients.
• 3. In a bowl, mix the beans together. Now add everything together and bake in 350 oven, uncovered, for 1 hour.
